How to Respond to Conflict Joyce Meyer once said, “A positive attitude gives you power over your circumstances instead of your circumstances having power over you”. Throughout times people have proven that positive thinking will help resolve a conflict. It is good to remain positive to eventually receive a good outcome. When a conflict arises the best way to deal with it is to keep a positive attitude. Many argue that a fight will quickly end a problem but problem but a good example that that is false is the story of Black Ships before Troy.In black ships before Troy they use war to solve their problems.people think that it won't really matter what attitude is presented in a problem. Many would argue that the one side of the argument doesn't care about the attitude about the other person/side.. …show more content…
In the story of anne frank when a new person arises they all gladly agreed to take him in. Anne shows positive thinking ,” you don't mind sharing your room with mr dussel, do you Anne,”No, no of course not,”(Pg.528-529).Instead of feeding the problem Anne makes a good decision. Anne makes the best out of being friends with Peter and they become good friends. Anne says “I think you’re just fine. If it wasn't for you around here, I don't know, “( Pg. 552). Although things weren't looking too bright Anne tried to bring a good thing out of a bad situation. It's been proven that being positive such as Anne frank will help other. An article on positivity says, “ Not only will you have a positive impact on people's lives by constantly looking for ways to bring the good on the surface,”.Anne Made great decisions on how to deal with the many ordeals she had.Times may not have been the best but Anne kept looking forward to make the best out of
I believe that in life you have to have a positive mindset on the things you do. Having a positive mindset will influence the things that you do. If you are constantly being negative then negative things will happen to you, but if you are positive, positive things will happen to you.
Dalai Lama believes that our mental attitude has a very important role in making a real difference to your state of happiness. If we were to be confronted with some type of aggression, and we have a positive mental attitude it would not even bother us because our positive thinking would retain us from breaking the addiction of our old emotional states. And if we on the contrary have a negative mental attitude then even with the nicest and most comfortable surroundings we would be unhappy. Just like Dalai Lama says, “ When we face problems or disagreements today, we have to arrive at solution through dialogue.” ( The Dalai Lama A Simple Path and An Open Heart pp. 804) We have to be able to talk things out and not take it to the extreme of violence because that will cause a chaos between each other.
“I simply can’t build my hopes on a foundation of confusion, misery, and death… I think… peace and tranquility will return again” said Anne Frank. Anne Frank worked hard to stay a positive person, and she certainly was. Anne Frank is best known for thinking of all the positives in the world while living a negative life. After taking a closer look at the life of Anne Frank, it is apparent that she deserves recognition as a profound writer, and a human being.
Anne Frank said and I quote "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." Why might Anne feel this way during her ordeal? She wants to prove that she is not going to let this put her down. Anne wanted to stay positive during her ordeal not sad. The more negative you, are the more you will feel down about what is going on in your life. A quote from Anne's diary says "As for us, we're quite fortunate, luckier than millions of people." This
Positive thinking is one of the best ways to respond to conflict. In the following three stories Dear Miss Breed, I Am Malala, and Anne Frank show positive thinking. These stories will show how they used positive thinking in their lives. The teenagers showed how they used positive thinking when they had bad times.
The Holocaust was one of history's most tragic events to occur. Millions upon millions of Jews lost their lives at the hands of people who did not want them there any longer. One of the Jews whom died, Anne Frank, said that “ In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart.” Even though she and her family and friends were forced to go through such terrible things, she was still able to look past them all, and see the positive outcome in everything. Anne Frank was one of history’s best models for optimism, and as for myself, I agree with her quote. After reading The Play of the Diary of Anne Frank, I see that Mr. Frank himself is a good example for this. However, I know there is another side to this argument, so I can see how someone might disagree with me on the quote. One of the reasons I agree with Anne is because she, herself, was kind to the people around her, no matter what. However, someone could say Mrs. Van Daan is a good example to disagree with this quote.
She wrote, “In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.” This means that she believed everyone could be good and not everyone had evil intentions. Although some people believe that she was just naïve and clueless, she knew how horrible people could be because she was living through a terrifying event in history. She chose not to think in ways that would result in bitterness. It’s clear that Anne Frank was hopeful and uplifting when everything going on gave her a reason not to
“In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.” A young girl named Anne Frank once wrote. I think Anne Frank wrote this quote because at the end of the day people loved and cared for her. Anne Frank was a teenage girl who went into hiding, due to the holocaust. Unfortunately, she did not survive this tragic event. But, what still amazes me, is that she remained positive in difficult situations. If I were in her situation, I wouldn’t know what to think or do. I would be terrified of everything that made a sound. In my mind, I think Anne Frank was one of the strongest people whom ever lived.
Having a positive outlook during a conflict is an important way to respond. Staying positive will make the situation much better than it actually turns out to be. Anne Frank and Miss Breed are great examples of how to stay positive during tough times. You must focus on cooperation instead of control and aim to set limits with respect, kindness, and firmness in mind.
Despite Anne's ordeal she said, ¨In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.¨ Anne was a child who was Jewish during World War 2. She was killed in a concentration camp. Most of Anne's feelings were sympathetic and positive towards others. She felt this way because she was forgiving, she knew that these people who threatened Anne's life had some good left inside of them. Kindness attached onto Anne as she took into perspective what may be going on in the other person's perspective and maybe why they were doing such detrimental actions. Anne also felt this way because of her kind and positive nature that consisted in her character which influenced her feelings for her to believe that all were good. Anne was also hopeful and she may have felt this way about people and that is why she expressed that quote. She wanted to and always believe that she was going to be free and that one day she would be able to go on with her life and have no worries of hiding or
Anne Frank did not have a life like we do nowadays, her family had to be hidden for over a year and a half to try to save their lives. No matter what, Anne believed there was good hidden in the world. Many people display the traits necessary to be good and not only should those traits be portrayed they should be treasured. Negativity does not lead to success, positivity does. One person that I know who took a negative event and turned it around for a positive impact is Mrs. Iwaniec. Mrs. Iwaniec was a gym teacher in the district I attend; she tells people about a horrible incident that happened to her family, she raises money to provide breathalyzers for police stations, and she holds a race each year to raise money.
On top of being non judgemental, Anne is also a very compassionate and optimistic. Anne thinks about others before she thinks about herself. When the Franks first moved into the “Secret Annex” she worked all day unpacking for her family instead of sitting around. As Anne described, “We scrubbed the kitchen floor, and were on the go the whole day long again. I hardly had time to think about the great changed in my life until Wednesday” (38 Frank). I would never have to worry about Anne being selfish. Anne would always make me think positive because of her ability to be hopeful. Even in the hardest times Anne believes people should get a second chance, “Yet I keep them, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart” (337 Frank). If I were to make a mistake Anne would accept it and give me another chance. Finally, I would wish for Anne Frank to be my best friend because she is trustworthy and strong minded. If Anne was my friend she would always tell me the truth and I would not have to worry if she was lying to me. Because Anne does not keep her emotions inside if
Anne Frank was a young Jewish girl who had gone into hiding during World War 2, and the Holocaust. Anne and her family were able to hide for roughly two years in the Secret Annex. Throughout those years that they were hidden, Anne recorded most of what happened during that time. Then in 1944 they were found by the Green Police and taken to concentration camps. A year or two after they got to the concentration camps, everyone who lived in the Secret Annex had died, except for Otto Frank (Anne's father). He then later published Anne's diary. At the end of Anne's diary, she had stated, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." I believe that Anne had wrote this because one, she and her father were really close and he always taught her to find the good in people/things rather than point out their flaws. Two, Anne was extremely optimistic, she always kept in her mind that they would survive the war and all live together once they left. Furthermore, Anne was also very forgiving to anyone she
Anne is an especially optimistic and whimsical girl who wants everyone to be cheerful, spite the numerous conditions she has gone through. The play ”The Diary of Anne Frank” ends with the statement, “In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.” This quote is by Anne Frank and reveals that Anne still has hope that World War II will end soon. I believe Anne asserted this on behalf of lifting everyone's spirits with hope. Also, Anne wants to stay strong and continue being positive throughout her ordeal. My final, and utmost supportive idea, is that far and wide, Anne wants to try to remain hopeful. In the next couple paragraphs, I will be discussing evidence to back this up.
Anne was only in her early teen years when tragedy struck for her and her loved ones, and still believed that there was some good in everyone. This could be interpreted into her personality, that she had big hopes and dreams. She must’ve seen a happily ever after for everyone, even that Nazis that have forced her into hiding with no other options at freedom. That, maybe, everyone had hopes and dreams too, and they just did what they needed to do to achieve them. She even said, “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world,” as if people would do what they thought was good- what they thought would improve the world. If you think about it in another perspective, we only call the Nazis bad because they do many things that we think are wrong. But they clearly thought it was right if they were the ones doing it by will. So is there really a good or bad side for anything? Because the bad side will almost certainly be the side that you don’t agree with. Maybe through this new perspective we can understand that Anne thinks that even the “bad” people going against her could just be good people trying to accomplish something, even if she didn’t fully comprehend
