Juxtaposition Many things in life can be compared and contrasted. Especially in text, elements can be abstract and concrete. Most, if not all, stories share common elements. Some elements include the existence of a setting and plot. Three major elements juxtaposed in this essay will be irony, point of view and setting. This essay will point out some of the comparisons and differences between "The Cask of Amontillado'' by Edward Allen Poe and ''The Necklace'' by Guy De Maunsipant.
