Kate Middleton is said to be having problems with premature aging. To fight this and maintain her youthful look, she was reported to be using botox, an organic one. The source of this information was Carl Ray, the high-profile make-up artist and personal stylist of Michelle Obama, the First Lady of the United States. Ray came to know about this detail after Kate Middleton personally recommended an anti-aging product to Obama. The stylist attested that the product suggested by Kate Middleton really works because Obama started using it eight years ago and since then, the first lady “hardly aged a day.” Ray shared that it is a non-injectable gel that is applied to the face and it works by reducing muscle contractions just like the way regular botox does. …show more content…

1. In her speech, Jane Fonda spoke about aging and the effect that it can have on a person. Fonda talked about “Life’s Third act” or the last three decades of a person’s life. Fonda explained that the advances in medicine and technology enabled the human race to live longer than before (Fonda, 2012). According to Fonda, humans are living on average, thirty years longer than past generations. The human life span has been extended and humans are spending a great deal of their lives in older age (Fonda, 2012). Fonda explains that we should not accept aging as a decline to our mental and physical capacity. According to her, our spirits do not age but mature over time which explains why people over the age of fifty are generally happier, less

When people think of new fashion trends they normally think of clothes, but the newest beauty craze that has hit the middle age market is Botox. Botox injection therapy, although not completely new, has come out swinging since being approved for use in cosmetic improvements in 2002. Botox is used to eliminate the look of aging by reducing the appearance of wrinkles on the face, neck and hands. Most commonly, patients use Botox to eliminate crow’s feet around the eyes, wrinkles on the forehead, and frown or laugh lines. It has become such a popular and ‘user friendly’ alternative to traditional cosmetic surgery, many women and even celebrities host Botox parties to share the experience with their friends. Botox parties are held
Over time, the sun, the elements, smoking and the aging process take their toll, especially in the peri-oral area of the face. The corners of the mouth begin to droop. The V-shaped area of the upper lip (known as the Cupid’s Bow) begins to flatten out and lose its youthful fullness. Vertical wrinkles or smoker’s lines begin to appear, often causing lipstick to bleed. That once sensual look is gone or greatly diminished. With Restylane injections, aging lips can be rejuventated and less full lips can be enhanced. This filler has a natural feel and is soft and

This paper will discuss the relationship between the aging process and key diseases associated with aging. Examples of aging-associated diseases include cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative diseases (López-Otín, Blasco, Partridge, Serrano, & Kroemer, 2013, p. 1194). Of these, we will discuss in-depth recent studies that have linked aging with Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. These diseases affect a significant proportion of the population over the age of 65 and place a considerable burden on the American health care system. Therefore, a better understanding of how they are related to aging and each other can result in the adoption of innovative treatments and declined risk for older adults.
Hello Everyone. When you hear the word Botox, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Is it celebrities, people who want to look younger or maybe you just don’t care. Personally for me, when I heard the word Botox before I did my research for this informative speech, I thought of Kim Kardashian or Joan Rivers. But, Botox is more than just social media hype. Botox is a neurotoxin protein called botulinum toxin, that can be used medically to treat certain types of muscular conditions, and cosmetically to remove wrinkles temporarily by paralyzing facial muscles. You may think that Botox used for cosmetic purposes is just for females trying to look younger, but studies have shown that the number of American men
Aging is described as a sequential, irreversible, progressive, and non-pathological process of maturation in an organism and that translates to a gradual decline in the ability to perform activities optimally. Aging is an individual process that can be a period of stress for individuals especially following their retirement (Hiller & Barrow, 2015). The current study sought to understand the process and experience of aging from the perspective of elderly individuals. In discussing matters of aging and retirement, many assume that women are always eager to retire, and adjust well, as compared to their male counterparts (Bauger & Bongaardt, 2016). Many people assume that since women are generally made as homemakers, they are willing and happy to retire while men, whose nature is to be the main source of family income, find it hard to be out of work (Moody & Sasser, 2014). Indeed, there exists very little literature that sheds some light on this area, particularly on the attitudes of each gender towards retirement and process of aging. Given the significance of retirement to this life stage, the study sought to understand the emotions and views of individuals regarding their retirement through the lenses of (1) Physical health and wellbeing, (2) Friends, Family, and Community, (3) Work and leisure, (4) Finances and lifestyles, and (5) Living
Aging! We all do it every day, but have you ever thought how it is going to affect the rest of your life or more importantly your career? Aging isn’t something that we get to choose if we participate in, however working is, and aging may affect that choice. Right now, I want you to think about the age of sixty-five. What words pop into your head when you think of someone sixty-five? I’d imagine some of the words you thought of were retired, old, fragile, slow, as well as many others. Those words right there all help to explain the many concerns that one’s employer may have when hiring someone that is of the older population. When we think of the older population in the work force we don’t necessarily think of positive things, instead we think of things. When we think of this population in the workforce we generally think of lower production rates and higher costs. These can create issues among the older population, as employers must consider all the possibilities when hiring someone. We know that more people in the older population are continuing to try to continue their careers, but why? How hard is it for them to continue? What changes have made it easier? How are the younger and middle aged populations perceiving them in the work place? This are only some of the many question surrounding the increase of aged workers.
