MILLERSBURG — A Killbuck man on Tuesday appeared in court to deny sexually violating an 11-year-old girl.
Jeremy W. Price, 38, of 14251 U.S. 62, pleaded not guilty in Holmes County Common Pleas Court to rape.
Price had initially been charged in Holmes County Municipal Court with attempted rape, but an indictment handed down by a Holmes County grand jury on Monday reflects additional evidence that emerged as part of an ongoing investigation, according to Holmes County Prosecutor Steve Knowling.
Because the girl was under 12 at the time of the alleged offense, the first-degree felony carries a potential penalty of life in prison.
