When I was first given the results for both Kuder assessments, I was not shocked the least bit. For my Interests Assessment, the top 3 scores were Enterprising, Conventional, and Investigative. These results accurately portray myself because I want to work in a career that requires critical thinking and teamwork all in a methodical way. This relates to my first major choice, electrical engineering, very well. The Values assessment seemed even more accurate where is put Innovation, Income, and Workplace and my top priorities. While I do want a career of high income, I also want to feel like I am making a difference in the world with my work, all while in a friendly workspace. This especially shows in my kuder results. The results do surprisingly
After completing CareerLeader, I am surprised that in my interest besides influencing others my next highest interest, quantitative analysis, was in the 44th percentile. I did not think that my next highest interest would be so low compared to my first interest which was in the 91st percentile. I was also surprised how low most of my skills scored. I only had one key skill and I thought more would score higher. I was not surprised about what my top two career matches, law and finances in a corporate setting, because that’s what I think I want to do. I would like to either be a sports agent or work with a sports team with their finances. I also was not surprised about what my top interest was given my career match. I also was not surprised with my top two motivators, security and positing, because my dad always told me to be secured in my finances and because I have also learned better by watching someone do what is needed to be done. Overall I was not that surprised with the overall results because they were what I expected them to state.
Having many values in my life, the assessment found three that stood out to me. Favorably, I am accustomed to helping others. If I see someone struggling with tasks or comprehension, I always try to help them understand. I can remember when I was a toddler how creative I was. I would often fill my days with telling my family stories and making up songs that my imagination couldn’t hold on to. Being 21 now, creativity has still been a major key factor in success. Thinking of ways to improve computer programs at work is part of the creativity. Being stable is the most important to me. Being without a job, a car, and money, are all key factors that could possibly hold me back from not having a successful career.
The reliability of an assessment in a perfect situation should produce the same results if marked by another tutor or if that examiner unknowingly receives the same paper again. If different marks are given the assessment is consequently unreliable and proves that this assessment is subjective.
The roles of the assessor may not be strictly that of a teacher but more of a mentor guiding a Learner to there eventual goal of gaining the qualification by giving appropriate feedback.
Focus 2 Assessments: After taking the assessments, I realized that I still have some career planning to do. Also, I do very well in english, business, and foreign language classes. My work interest resulted in “enterprising” meaning I often use my skills to influence others. My values are helping others, income, and prestige. My personality type is attracted to occupations where I can combine my abilities to make careful
The 02.10 Discussion-Based Assessment was held on Wednesday, November 15, from 11:00am-11:15am. During this meeting, Mr. Moore and I talked about the final. Though this was the last DBA of the semester for English II Honors, I should schedule a meeting to discuss the final and how to prepare for it. The English final consists of two parts including multiple choice and free response questions, but both need to be taken in the same two-hour time block. To take the final, I will need to complete the module two exam, preferably before the due date to prepare for the final. Mr. Moore advised to start studying when December starts.
All work handed in by the learner, they must sign and date and confirm that it is their own work.
I do like to work under a strong leader with set instructions. But, I always like to solve problems and search for answers. Lastly, throughout my life, I've have always been a helper and always found it personally rewarding to service anyone in need. These scores relate to your career goal because it confirms that my career path that I have chosen will be a good career path for me. The health care program management appeals to my social interest, because I am going to be providing a service to patience's and making sure that their information is in order. It appeals to my investigative interest because I will be solving any issues, technological or patient problems that could arise during the day. Lastly, it is attractive to my conventional interest because I will have a set schedule and a number of tasks to do in order to make sure the clinic is running
Over the course of the past few months, I believe that I have learned a lot about my values, career choices, and my possible future. Both The Values Survey and the Rokeach Assessment helped me to understand what category my most important values were in. After Completing the Values Survey, I can conclude that some of my most important work values are family, friendship, helping others, creativity, and knowledge and truth. I agree with those values being my top five values. They also relate to the career that I am hoping to pursue. I want to be a special needs teacher, which is a job that revolves around helping, and caring for others.

After learning studying the technics from Unit 2 on improving critical thinking skills, I feel that I have devised a plan to help me through this process. The steps in the lesson that include using wasted time and asking specific questions, planning to handle one problem per day, and internalize intellectual standards and having clarity and understanding about devising a game plan has helped me put the changes into action. Keeping a journal and trying to practice intellectual strategies are all part of my plan to improve my thinking.
When a person, such as Ryan, is considering applying to a college or university there can be many psychological factors that can play a part in determining your actions. The things you become exposed to, assumptions about people, and your motivations are all attributing to our life decisions.
I completed the Kuder Journey assessments and it seemed to go really well. Art Therapist showed up in my interest results along with AODA counselor and marriage therapist. I then took the skill test and it came up with Medical and Health Services Manager which I had considered for a time. Unfortunately, when I took the work values assessment and it came up with one career, Archivist, not even close. I felt a little deflated to say the least, not saying it isn’t a worthwhile career, but didn’t see it as something that would be a step on my path to self-actualization. I am probably going to continue with my path of Human Services as a major despite the outcome. I just am not sure if I am better served, or where I can make the best impact,
Consequently, the Bridges Assessment has facilitated me to clarify my skills and preferences. The main finding of Interest Profiler Results, Work Values Sorter Assessment and Work Preferences Appraiser are a good match for a career in E-commerce Manager or Humanity Resources assistant.
