After hearing that Wright would not call the police because of Bryant and Milam’s threat, he decided to call the Leflore County sheriff and his mother in Chicago. His mother than placed a call to Emmett’s brother Mamie Till Bradley. Wright and his wife also drove to Sumner, where Elizabeth Wright's brother contacted the
Mamie got the officials to deliver Emmett’s remains to Chicago where she insisted on an open casket funeral so that the world could see the way her son’s body had been massacred by his murderers, that he was tortured beyond recognition. Unfortunately, a jury of 12 white men found both Roy Bryant and John W Milam not guilty of the murder
For many years, I lived right across the street from Mose Wright’s house, Emmett Till’s grandfather. His family and my family were great friends and always social about many things, for example, the news that is going around the world or what we had for supper last night. A lot of white people do not like us since we do not have the same skin color. Sometimes they treat us like we are aliens, that they never saw us before. I always knew about Emmett since Mose always talks about his grandson. On August 20, 1955, that was the
In August of 1955, a 14-year-old boy named Emmett Till traveled from his hometown, Chicago, to Money, Mississippi, to visit his great uncle, Mose Wright. Emmett was used to the laws in the north, and did not know that it was illegal to talk to a white person. So when his friends dared him to go into a shop and say bye to a white woman, he took the dare. Four days later, Emmett was taken and killed by the woman’s husband and his brother-in-law. The pair of them demanded to see the boy, and despite pleas from Mose, they forced Emmett into their car. Four days later, Emmett’s body was found beaten and lifeless in the Tallahatchie river. Emmett’s mother insisted on having an open-casket funeral, so the world could see what those mean had done to

In the Sutter County, most of the land are consider as farm land. The total percentage of farmland is about 97%. It almost cover the entire county. Therefore, agriculture farming is playing a key role of the county economic, especially the crop sales. In the terms of types of land in farms, there is not surprising that cropland is one of the bigger share in the county. Littleton Co is where winter is moderate and the neighborhood has a “neighbor know-neighbor” feel. That being said, homeowners in some areas of Littleton attest to the fact that one can reasonably fly their doors all day without anyone barging in. Homey and relaxed eateries, independently owned shops sprawled on its main streets, and arcades extend a charm from its original turn of the century structures. There is no wanting in the locals' need to embrace the city's history despite owning a present-day dynamic neighborhood. The city pushes with a downtown annexed by the city’s light rail system. Notably, there is not much of day to day driving because of this. Don’t forget the view as one catches the ride- a splendid scenery of lakes and mountains.

I realize that there have been a lot of changes in Wilmington, NC, due to the student body at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington growing. There have been several city council meetings to discuss how the city of Wilmington can use this growth to the city’s advantage. There has been discussion that the city of Wilmington is building the “Tar Heel Family Resort” to increase tourism and bringing new business to the community. Unfortunately in this case the government has the right to eminent domain, which is the constitutional right of the government to take privately owned real property for a public purpose in exchange for just compensation to the owner (Kubasek, Brennan, & Browne, 2009).
