Lisbeth Gonzalez Casanova Mrs. Mack First Period 30 August 2017 Lemon brown essay What is treasure?... To me treasure is gold and money or jewelry that is hidden somewhere underground, in a cave or at the end of a rainbow. But for Lemon Brown, treasure is something very precious to him. And it's not gold or money. But it's his memories like his harmonica and his pictures of his son, those are memories of the past that Lemon Brown still has. When Lemon Brown was younger he was a jazz player, then he had a family. His son was in a war, and unfortunately, Lemon Brown got a message that his son died in the war. Lemon Brown's wife died him and he was all alone. But luckily Lemon Brown had his harmonica and his very

Upon the initial release of Lemonade, the public's reactions to the album were mixed; tunnel visioning on the infidelity scandal, but also full of appraisal for the black excellence of the album. The media heavily influenced the public’s reactions to Lemonade, because most people believe what’s on the internet and don’t want to spend their time researching topics when media outlets can do just that and give them information as quickly as possible. Because of media bias, consumers were exposed to infidelity facet of Lemonade unless they watched/listened to the album themselves and truly understood the message behind the album. This led to groups of fans frantically trying to decipher the mystery of the person behind “Becky with the good hair”.
In an English countryside, tucked away in a valley and a blanket of trees there stands a small village called Puddlemarsh. Here, there are several cottages, a small primary school and an old church. The shops along the village high street include a small, family run bakery where you can buy home-made bread and cream cakes, sausage rolls and pasties. There's a butcher's shop where you can buy sausages and bacon, pork pies and black pudding. There is a Post Office where you can not only post letters but find all sorts of knick-knacks that might interest anyone who pops in to buy a stamp.

In the story, Treasure of Lemon Brown it talks a lot about a man’s treasure and what that could be. When Greg first meets Lemon Brown he is asked if he is there to take his treasure, and he replies saying “I’m not looking for your treasure, if you even have one” (page 9) Greg doesn’t think that the old man could have a treasure because he is so poor and doesn’t look like he’s worth very much. The man replies saying that gold and such doesn’t have to be everyone's treasure and that a treasure can be more than just wealth. “What you mean if i have one? Every man got a treasure. You don’t know that, you must be a fool!” (page 9) A treasure can be anything that you treasure yourself.
The Lemon Tree explores the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, beginning in 1917 with the Balfor Declaration and British rule in Palestine through 2005, shortly before the book was published. It considers both the international conflicts and the personal conflicts, specifically from the point of view of an Arab, Bashir, and a Jew, Dalia who lived through the struggle. In doing so, Tolan typically discusses the important events multiple times from multiple perspectives in order to give readers a full picture. Specifically, some major events explored include the Great Arab Rebellion, the Israeli War for Independence or Nakba, international events, the Six Day War, and both intifadas. Tolan explains both their personal effects for Bashir and Dalia and their national, and sometimes international, effects in the wider world.

In the stories “The Treasure of Lemon Brown”, written by Dean Myers, and The Pearl written by John Steinback, both main characters face conflict that changes their lives and their views if what is impl in life. Greg, the main character in “The Treasure of Lemon Brown”, is a high school boy who is doing poorly in math but wants to play basketball, and the main character in The Pearl, Kino, is a man who loves his family intensely but finds himself suddenly rich-- but envied. Both of the compelling stories, the protagonists hold strong feelings about what is important, have experiences that radically change their views, but find their conflicts resolved in the end. First, both Kino and Greg’s lives both have something that is extremely important
The colors I chose for my family have reasons. I chose the color black for my sister, Tabitha, because she has a dark personality. She likes to be alone, and not be bothered by anyone. For my mother on the other hand, I chose Purple Pizzazz. She tries to help everyone at the best of her ability and take care of my family so I chose a color that popped out and a color that looked important. For my father I decided on the color Midnight Blue. I think blue is an intelligent and strong color and my dad’s is very smart and strong. For me I could only think of Lime green. Lime Green is a balanced color but it can also mean envy. I try to stay balanced but sometimes I go over the edge and that is why I chose Lime Green as my color.

My favorite color jelly bean tells me a few things about my personality that are very true. Firstly, people who prefer the purple jelly beans are very creative. This holds true for me because I enjoy are very much, so much so that f my thirteen years of schooling, I took an art class for eleven of them, at times I even took two art classes at once. To show my creativity, I even drew the design for my own first tattoo myself. Furthermore, purples have a short attention span, and cannot stay put for long. This is true in my case because I cannot focus on one task for much longer than thirty minutes at a time. For example, in VPL this morning, I had to get up and walk around about every forty-five minutes. Finally, purples are disorganized and
