Leonardo Da Vinci Discoveries

Leonardo Da Vinci was a famous Italian Renaissance polymath painter and sculptor. He was born on April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy. He lived with his father, Piero Fruosino di Antonio da Vinci. Da Vinci was an only child until he was 25. He was an apprentice for Andrea di Cione, known as Verrocchio. When Da Vinci was 20 he worked on his first painting. In 1479, he moved to Florence, Italy. He did a painting in 1480 and never finished it. In 1482, he moved to Milan, Italy. While he was in Milan he volunteered to be a military engineer. He did many paintings while he was in Milan. Da Vinci won the duke over in 1489. He got to do the horse sculpture that he wanted to do. He did not get to finish it, because they got attacked by the French

Mathematics has been a part of society ever since its began. Numerous great minds have contributed to the field but one of the most influential mathematicians was Leonardo da Vinci. Genius, renowned and ahead of his time, Leonardo Da Vinci has been called all of these from the time he began changing the world and still is to this day. I chose Leonardo da Vinci to as my scientist because of how progressive da Vinci was within his designs. The power of mathematics and da Vinci’s mind brought humanity amazing new things and ideas. Though Da Vinci is most known for his superior artistic talents, he was also an inventor that incorporated mathematics into designs that were hundreds of years ahead of their time. The invention of a battle tank, robots and diving suits are all accredited to Leonardo da Vinci.

Leonardo Da Vinci grew up in Florence where at the age of twenty he was accepted into the Florences Guild of St. Luke as a master artist. This was just the beginning for Leonardo for he would later be recognized as one of the greatest artists, engineers, and scientist of all time. Throughout his life Leonardo explored all of these fields and through this he encountered many important discoveries. He was able to exchange some of these discoveries through his paintings as he popularized and created certain techniques through his paintings. He was also able to share some of his ideas of engineering because he was commissioned to work on many projects involving things such as: architecture, military engineering, canal building, and weapons design.

Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15,1452 in the town of Anchiano, near the town of Vinci. His father was Ser Piero, a legal official and attorney, and Leonardo's mother was Caterina, a peasant girl (Stanley). Around 1466 he possessed himself to the main Florentine painter and artist, Andrea del Verrocchio, as a studio boy.

A Renaissance man is defined as a man who is highly knowledgeable or proficient in various fields. There is no more appropriate phrase to describe Leonardo da Vinci and his astonishing accomplishment. Leonardo da Vinci is one the most significant figures in history, perhaps known as an artist. His name inevitable brings out the image of Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. Da Vinci was also a scientist and an architect.

Leonardo Da Vinci was a inventor , scientist , and a painter. He is known for his famous painting he did of Mona Lisa , Not only is he know for that he also is know for his great inventions. One of his inventions was called the war machine called the 33-barreled organ. Da Vinci had got a idea for that weapon when he saw that a cannon takes to much time to reload in battles. He thought it would be so much better for battles because i mean who wants to get shot at while trying to reload on the other hand with the 33-barreled organ while a soldier is shooting they can reload at the same time.

The progress made in this era can be credited to many great minds. Despite this, Leonardo Da Vinci is widely regarded as one of the leading minds of the Italian Renaissance. He was an “architect, artist, painter, inventor, thinker, and genius”. He is best known for his famous, thought provoking, painting the “Mona Lisa”, and despite being an accomplished artist, he was infatuated with the laws of nature and science.

Being an artist, I couldn't help but choose the option of looking at Leonardo da Vinci's discoveries. He was a genius scientist, inventor, engineer and artist, and a lot of his discoveries were based off of information he gathered from the Greek Renaissance and God's creation. I chose Leonardo da Vinci for my pioneer for his work in aerodynamics. First of all, he made many inventions including the “human powered ornithopter.” the machine used human power such as pedaling to power it in order to flap the wings. What leonardo proved was lift and aerodynamic and his blueprints were used by the famous wright brothers to make their model of the aip plane.
