Da Vinci created many inventions, paintings, and even study many subjects. But he was mainly an artist. He painted the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. Leonardo da Vinci was born in Italy, which was known back then as Anchiano, Tuscany. This was close to the town of Vinci. His father was an attorney, and his mother was a peasant. He had 17 half siblings. The only education Leonardo received was basic math, reading, and writing. He studied anatomy, physics, nature, and many other things. He thought art and science complemented each other. Leonardo’s interests were very diverse which eventually led him to not complete all of his projects.
Leonardo da Vinci is arguably the most influential artiest of the Renaissance. Leonardo’s work has managed to survive the test of time, and inspire generations of people. The Last supper depicts a scene of what many would think that the last supper Jesus had the night before his crucifixion. It shows Jesus and his twelve disciples enjoying the meal together, along with many hidden signs of symbolism.
Although Leonardo DaVinci is most famous for his paintings, he is also known for designing many inventions that anticipated modern technology. Very few of his designs were constructed in during his lifetime. He also helped advance the exploration of anatomy, astronomy, and civil engineering.
