Lesnar: A Career In Mixed Martial Arts

When your an athlete you are expected to always be at your best mentally and physically. However not always is this the case as lots of people tend to not be the best in those two categories on competition day, sometimes it depends on the sport and in my case that is wrestling, and wrestling is in my and several others opinions the most mentally and physically taxing sport in the world, and in my first experience at a tournament it was simultaneously the worst and best experience in my sporting career so far that is.

Some people would think that, for example Boxers and MMA fighters do not have anything in common when it comes to their origins of fighting, But they do in fact share some of the same qualities with each other. The sport known as Mixed Martial Arts was first started in the Greek Olympics in 648 BC it was known as pankration and started out as a blending of two sports, wrestling and boxing but barely had any rules. The only rules were no biting and gouging the others eyes. Pankration means all of might. Pankration used boxing which is punching and dodging basically, also it used Greco-Roman wrestling which takes place on a giant circle and they can’t perform attacks on the legs but have to get their opponents upper body (waist or above) and throw them on the ground and pin them but whereas pankration you hit each other and knock your opponent out.
