Lewis was in a plane over Greenland going to visit his grandparents in England when all of a sudden the plane started going down nose first. The force of the wind broke all of the glass making it impossible for the passengers to look around without any glass in their eyes. He tried to undo his seat belt, but it was stuck. Then he remembered that he had just eaten dinner, so he looked around for his knife and found it on the floor two feet away from his feet. When he finally grabbed it, the plane shook and knocking him out. When he woke up he was still in his seat “Thank god “he thought with sarcasm and his seat belt was still on.
The plane had been broken up into four separate pieces. The floor was nothing more than ripped carpet with a metal base. Lewis looked to see if anyone survived the crash, but all he saw were some empty seats

Lewis examined the bomb one more time to try and disarm it. It was an acrylic box with wires and a timer, but the timer wasn’t ticking and he thought, “What if it’s not a bomb, what if it’s an EMP that shut the plane down?”
All of sudden he heard rustling in the trees and then it stopped as soon as it began, so when Lewis went t explore and he saw a person, right in front of him he was about 5’11 and looked American he had dark grey eyes that resembled storm clouds and dirty blonde hair. He was wearing an Abercrombie jacket and ripped jeans with blue sneakers, as he looked at him he tried to remember if he was on the plane with him and then he remembered he was the man with the large duffle bag that he wouldn’t let go of.
By the time Lewis realized he was the man that owned the EMP, the man was in a full sprint was in a full sprint away from the plane and towards something. Lewis immediately started to run after him when Lewis caught up he jumped on the man and he flipped him over to see that the man was a cop. Right in front of Lewis’s face was an air marshal
had survived.” This second quote explains the solution to the plane’s crash, which required the
C. S. Lewis , the author of “Imagination and thought in the middle ages”, examines the medieval perspective on the universe and how it collates it with modern times. Lewis develops his idea without facts or science. It is rather, an analyzation of the medieval ages from a creative, artistic, and imaginative outlook. He understands that while a lot facts of the medieval ages are wrong , several thinkers from that time are just foundations that modern thinkers built from. Thoughts in the medieval times were understood as outlandish and foolish, but it is noticeable that many of modern discoveries would not be discovered without past theories that originated from the medieval times.
Meriwether Lewis is the main reason that the United States’ territory extends from the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the Pacific Ocean (“Meriwether Lewis” 2). He has done many great things, but he is best known for exploring the American West (1). He was a great man full of bravery. Meriwether faced tons of dangers in his life but he overcame all of them. Lewis “helped change the face of the United States by exploring uncharted territory- the American West (“Meriwether Lewis” 2).”
Everyone has turning points during his or her life, some of them change our mind, and some others change our life. In this essay I will be writing about an African American named John Lewis, he was born and raised in the State of Alabama and had several turning points during his life, some of them happened during his childhood and others as an adult. Many turning points are remarkable and well known by the society who has read about him, but some others are hidden somewhere and not too many people talk about them and how it influenced him, nevertheless all of them helped him to create his character and becoming the person who he wanted to become. For example, since almost killing one of his precious chickens trying to baptize it (because he
Everyone in their life experiences a state of hopelessness. Whether it is a big or a small occurrence; it helps us shape up mentally or physically ready for the real world. In March, Lewis talks about the events in his life that we classify as his turning points which caused them to turn their life around. It is true that many events did not increase his will to protest. I think that John Lewis' life was changed by his turning points, there are four turning points what continues to affect him to this day. The four turning points that stand out are his first arrest, Lewis' trip to Buffalo with his Uncle Otis, Dr. King's speech, and when he decided to join the Freedom Riders.

When on his way to going to Washington when he died at his hotel. Meriwether Lewis died in Hohenwald
"I am tall, fat, rather bold, red-faced, double-chinned, have a deep voice, and wear glasses for reading" --C. S. Lewis's picture of himself in a letter. A nickname of C.S. Lewis, Jack, was devised when Lewis declared he wanted to be called Jacksie but the nickname was shortened to Jack. Lewis is a 20th century author, with over thirty-five books published. C.S. Lewis’s works were influenced by his life experiences.
Meriwether Lewis was a great founder of most of the U.S during the Lewis & Clark Expedition but is not famously known for he had a sudden and mysterious death. His death was never concluded but they expected it was a suicide. This made him less notable because he died fairly early in his career. This makes the most reasonable cause of death murder. He was governor of Louisiana. Even though it was a lot of work. And when he died he was actually going to talk to president about the money he didn’t have to finance his area. But we’ll get to that later (3 & 4 paragraph). But with the factual and autopsy evidence proves his death was a homicide.
Ray Lewis was born on Bartow, Florida on May 15, 1975. Elbert Ray Jackson was his father and was largely absent during his son’s childhood. As a boy, Ray Lewis was the oldest and soon became the man of the house. Ray used to do his sister’s hair. He used to take his brothers to daycare every single day.
C.S. Lewis is one of the greatest authors in history. His books are still widely available and sold to many interested readers. In Lewis’ childhood, he experienced a tragedy that affected his belief in god; in his middle life, he mainly focused on college and his studies, but his father’s death played a role in Lewis later becoming a Christian. In Lewis’ later life, he married one of his own fans. Clive’s passion for writing began when he was a small child, and it continued to grow as he furthered his education to become a college professor at Oxford University. Lewis is still remembered today for his great works, such as The Screwtape Letters and The Chronicles of Narnia, which is a popular series among children.
Then, they bring in the heavy machinery to clean up the aftermath. After, the relatives of "lost" people in towers put up wanted signs, still holding on to hope that their loved ones will be found, but none are, except for the few trapped in Stairwell B. Finally, when all hope is lost, people start start to hold funerals for the deceased. This sections shows how September 11th, 2001 had lasting effects on the people of New York.
Lewis in Book II, now discusses the types of God, one that is beyond good and evil, meaning that not one good thing is to be viewed solely as good, but as both good and evil in certain circumstances, and a God that is the depiction and manifestation of all things good. The “typical” christian or the one that views God as good also views Him as an all giving, all creating being that had only good intentions for the world. Any evil that made its way into the world is contrary of the wants and beliefs of God, and He must be separated from the world he created; for he is merely the creator, not the actual universe. Injustices and strifes that are found in the universe often raise a question of if there is an actual God. If he were to let these things happen, and if there are both just and unjust things in this world, is there even a meaning of the universe to govern those injustices?
In C.S. Lewis’ book The Screwtape Letters, there have been many things learned from it. Firstmost, this is a spiritually driven novel, therefore, those things learned will be based on spiritual, mainly on the Christian faith. This book is about two demons with a nephew and uncle relationship. The demon Wormwood is having a particularly arduous tie trying to keep his subject from Christianity. The uncle Screwtape sends letters to Wormwood in hopes of helping the man stray away from faith and “The Enemy”, who is God himself. Initially the reader will see that the book teaches in a reverse kind of way. The reader is to take what the demons said and see that those things can happen to themselves. After, the reader would not do those things or take
Four medics parachuted into the sea to find Root.Despite this tremendous fall, Thomas was still alive. The medics pulled Thomas into a raft and saw a wound and thought he was hurt by the plane which turn out to be a bullet hole.
“It all makes sense now,” he whispered to himself. He saw that the man was nowhere to be found in the first class. He nervously got up and looked around. He couldn’t find him anywhere. Somebody told him that he was headed for the cockpit. He ran to the cockpit to find that the pilots were both dead and the man was flying the plane. The man was trying to crash the plane into the ground. That is why they dropped from 35,000 feet to 10,000 so quickly. Then out of nowhere he hears a gunshot, and he drops to his knees. He looks at his shoulder and realizes he had been shot. He sits on the ground attacking like he has died, because if he hadn’t, he would’ve been shot again. He started to army craw over to him, and once he was there, he put the man in a headlock and started to suffocate him. The man fell limply to the ground, and then he heard the explosion, “A bomb!” He grabbed the steering wheel and headed it to the runway. He passed out before it could hit the ground. He woke up in the hospital as a
