Four hours into my first Libertarian National Convention I wandered into a crowded hotel suite filled with sweaty young men drinking Carlo Rossi and found myself face to face with John McAfee, internet pioneer, Libertarian candidate for president and former international fugitive. One thing led to another, and soon I was asking him a rather direct question: Had he killed a man?
It wasn’t something I’d expected to address, not least because political journalists are often resigned to the fact that their access to a candidate will be restricted by any number of communications aides, but Libertarians have no such norms. As Starchild — a San Francisco-based activist and erotic services provider, dressed one day in a Speedo and a see-through raincoat

He’s chosen another former Republican governor as a running mate, one with fundraising bona fides, and is seen by many as the great tan hope of the Libertarian Party, a man who, as Johnson recently described himself to a crowd of the faithful, might be able to take “your weekly meeting that’s occurring in the tree house” and move it to an auditorium.
“I think 30 million people here are up for grabs that are probably Libertarian; it’s that they just don’t know it,” he said to me.
In other words, Gary Johnson is looking to make libertarianism normal. In the year of Trump, Bernie Sanders and flipping the system the bird, he might just have a shot. Still, it all depends on how weird Americans are willing to let things get.
Johnson, 63, hasn’t even been a Libertarian all that long. He was a Republican when he served as New Mexico’s governor from 1994 to 2003, but he switched party affiliations in late 2011 and won the 2012 Libertarian nomination for president. Along with his running mate Judge Jim Gray, something of a movement hero for his efforts to legalize marijuana in California, Johnson got more than 1 million votes, a party
Jeb Hersarling is the 5th District Representative and is a Republican. He has served as a representative since January 7 2003. He was against the Homeowner Flood Insurance Act of 2013. He is an opponent of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. He always votes against pro-choice, stem cell research, same sex marriages and hate crimes legislation. State chairman Gaylord Parkinson took on the task of bringing the Party back together and reinforced it at all levels on both a local and state level. Parkinson's 11th Commandment, “Thou shalt not speak ill of any Republican,” proved useful when implemented. Parkinson took a strategy out of the 1952 presidential nomination book, by recruiting an attractive candidate with no political experience, Ronald Reagan (TOTTEN 539). Like Eisenhower in 1952, Reagan was an attractive conservative who had almost no political experience. The Democratic Party would use this strategy as well in 2008 with its candidate Barack Obama (MCKENNA). Reagan, the party favorite, ran against moderate former mayor George Christopher. Christopher fired at Reagan's conservative leanings and Brown's “alleged ineptness.” (TOTTEN 539). He aimed at winning votes from both Democrats and Republicans. Anderson Totton and Eugene Lee contend that the main issue in the Republican primary was which candidate could unify the party and beat Brown. (539) In his memoir, Reagan noted that when leaders asked him to run, “nothing was said, incidentally, about whether I would make a good governor or not. They just said I was the only one who could bring the party together.” (REAGAN
The elections for state representative in 2002 in the hometown of former President Lyndon Baines Johnson in Texas was disputed by two white young candidates that had different perspectives and way of doing politics in the district 45. They were the incumbent republican Rick Green and his adversary that was the freshman democratic Patrick Rose. The republic Rick Green is a charismatic conservative Christian and talented speaker who was not born as Texan but "Rick Green’s family moved to Wylie, Texas, when he was ten years old, so he is not a native Texan but did grow up in the state" ( P.O.V.). He is an attorney and graduated in Law from the University of Texas Law School. He also is a businessman and "He founded a talent agency and video production company with TV sales of over $500,000. He also started and ran a nutritional supplement company, building and training a national sales force with over 2,500 representatives to achieve nearly $3,000,000 in retail sales" ( P.O.V.). By that time Green was very confident in winning the elections since his district 45 was solidly republican and he was a prominent conservative who had already experienced a seat in the House of representative.
Do you think Gary Johnson will make it to the podium for the U.S. presidential debates in September? Are this year's third-party candidates, Johnson and Jill Stein, more appealing to you than Hillary Clinton and Donald
"That'll be up to the voters here,” Kasich said. "I’m not going to get into that. That's too much below the belt."
The challenger is the race was Republican Josh Mandel. Mandel was and is once again the serving Treasurer for the state of Ohio. In March, 2012, he won the GOP primary race against five other challengers for the right to contest the Senate seat against Brown. Mandel was the best-known of the six challengers, and had strong backing as a "Tea Party" candidate (Guillen, 2012).
In November 1866, Johnson started to tour all over the east and Midwest to get tons of supporters. He wanted to show everyone that he was worthy of something. His northern campaign wasn’t going so well, he was making everything ten times worse by trading insults and stating that the radicals were traitors and after that all his supporters that he had gotten started so see his lack in performance. The radicals then accused Johnson of being a traitor aiming to turn the country over to former rebels. (McGraw-Hill/Ebook pg. 377) After all this Johnson was basically a president without a party.
Sam Johnson is a Republican native Texan and a decorated war hero and combat veteran. Before establishing a home based business in North Dallas and serving in the Texas State legislature, Representative Johnson served 29 years in the U.S. Air Force and has been awarded two Legions of Merit, two Silver Stars, the Distinguished Flying Cross, two Purple Hearts, four Air Medals, one Bronze Star with Valor, and three Outstanding Unit Awards. He was a prisoner of war and in his autobiography, Captive Warriors, he chronicled his experience in solitary confinement. Representative Johnson holds a House leadership role as one of the few Deputy Whips and uses his committee assignments on the Health Subcommittee, the Joint Committee on Taxation and

I am sure that everyone of you have heard about aliens and UFOs. Indeed, we all have heard about the famous case of aliens and UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico. Getting Gary Johnson to become President is the goal the U.S wants to achieve, hopefully as soon as possible. Achieving this goal, will take the help of everyone. If the people wants more freedom, more money, less student loan debt, a president that doesn’t waste his political capital on frivolous things, and legal marijuana, then they should vote for Gary Johnson during the re-election. If anyone doesn’t want those, then they should leave the country. It’s a win-win situation for everyone if Gary Johnson is President. The goal of the U.S will be easy to get done, if everybody contributes a vote to let Gary

Very rarely do third party candidates poll more than 10 percent but Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson, is doing just that (Russonello). The Libertarian party as a whole has seen a recent rise in recent elections with Gary Johnson being the first third party candidate to be on the ballot in all 50 states in 20 years (Tau). Despite the general public confusion on them their ideology is quite simple. The general idea is that Libertarians are fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Britannica defines Libertarians as, “classical liberals who strongly emphasize the individual right to liberty.” (Encyclopedia Britannica). It is ultimately about giving people the liberty to do what they want without hurting other people.
This puts into perspective the disparity that Republicans and Democrats hold against other parties, it would be huge for a third party to get one percent of the vote. He discusses the importance that the Libertarians get at least one percent of the vote because it would help them break through a large barrier. This article concludes by saying that the LP has a good chance of breaking the typical third party barrier. They have the most support as a third party, and among others, they do the best in all
