"A two month litter blitz resulted in a numvber of fines for people caught throwing litter around Blacktown.
According to the results of a Blacktown customer satisfaction survey, 'keeping public places clean' is one of the most important issues for people living in Blacktown.
Many verbal warnings were given to culprits of littering, designed as a prevention method.
"The message was loud and clear. While fines were issued, the main aim was to stop people in the act of littering and the negative effects of littering," Blacktown mayor Stephen Bali said.
Blacktown Council's officers led the four week enforcement operation, backed up by NSW Police and the Western Sydney Regional Illegal Dumping Squad.
"The littering blitz was designed more

In the essay “Black men and Public Space” by Brent Staples, he talks about how being a black man alters public space in a negative way. Altering public space is changing how a person, place, or thing makes you feel. It can be negative but it also can be positive. Some positive ways altering public space can be a friendly smile walking into a room, beautiful new constructions, and planting trees to better the environment.
I don't think I should recive a fine just because I throw old food in the garbage. No Recycling Laws for Gatesburg states that, "Americans already recycle at a high rate, which is around 95% of lead-acid batteries and 70% of steel cans and newspapers." Which I personally think is wonderful. So why force people to do even more? Many people will be so used to doing things one way, that if you make it a law to do it another you are setting them up to break the law and be fined. And I don't think that is fair at all. Not only would it be unfair to fine people for not composting or recycling, but it would also increase taxes to pay for all of the services and personnel as stated in paragraph two of No Recycling Laws for Gatesburg. Therefor I do not agree with the Going Green for Gatesburg flyer. I beleive they have the best intentions but I don't think any community is ready for laws requiering citizens to compost or recycle. Maybe at some point in the future it will be as good idea, but as of right now I do not think it
In order to put an end to all this littering, it needs to start with everyone playing their correct role in society. Although it is not very enforced, littering is illegal. If people would all obey the law, there wouldn’t be an issue. But for those who don’t obey the law, it needs to become stricter. There should be more cops out there on the look out for people littering, and for people who get caught littering, there
Keeping black people in these rough areas his lowered public opinion of them in the eyes of not just other races but other black people as well. Many of them result to committing crimes or going to jail or causing trouble because that is all they know. Something like going to jail which is normally a big event in a family’s life has become something very common in African American culture, something akin to graduating high school or getting married. It has become something so commonplace that it is seen as the norm in many black communities. The black community is now synonymous with many of the biggest problems in our society which includes drugs, robbery, murder and much more.

People do not think about the overall consequences of throwing things everywhere and anywhere that they please. Author Frank Trippett, in his excerpt from,”A Red Light for Scofflaws,” explains how all around us are minor criminals. That people only believe that hard crimes such as murder, stealing, or domestic violence cases are serious. When in fact the real problems are littering, speeding, and noise pollution. These things affect the planet in more ways than we know. The author sets a concerned tone for “minor” lawbreakers all over the planet.
The European Space Agency estimates that there are more than 600,000 trash objects larger than one centimeter in diameter floating in space. A golf ball is still floating somewhere in space after it was hit from the international space station by Michail Tjurin, a Russian astronaut, as part of an advertisement for a Canadian sports company in 2006.
