I am riding my bicycle through the polder. Lots of things are happening around me. A gull is eating flies right out of the air. A hare spots me and lowers himself trying to look like a bunch of something else. Plovers are chasing away a buzzard. Godwits are shouting against a crow. Frogs are croaking in different tones while drowsing on water plants. Fish are having fun with each other putting up their dorsal fins on and off. Ducks are leaving the bicycle path because they see me coming. I quit the dyke because there are too many flies above the bicycle path. Being no gull, I do not appreciate them as a snack or meal when they fly in my mouth. A sedge warbler resembling a nuthatch is making a lot of noise. Far too much noise for such a little
The Long Walk was the forced removal of the Navajo people, which began in January 1864 in the Arizona and New Mexico states. It was hardly recognized by Americans at the time because of the Civil War and the slavery issues that were so much more important in the North and South part of the country. The Long Walk is the Navajo Nation’s own “Trail of Tears”. More than 8,500 Navajo men, women, and children were forced to relocate to an internment camp in New Mexico called the Bosque Redondo Reservation. The Navajo and some Apache were gathered from Arizona and New Mexico and had to walk between 375-498 miles depending on which route they took (Remley, pg 230).

Freedom Rides were a group of northern African-Americans who rode buses to protest segregation. The buses rode into the South in order to challenge racial segregation. In 1961 James Peck , a white Civil Rights Activist, joined other CORE members on a historic bus trip across the south. The two bus trips would test the Supreme Court decisions banning segregated seating on interstate bus routes and segregated facilities in bus terminals.

After World War I, more than 20,000 veterans returned home unemployed and in drastic financial stress. In disbelief of their poverty and struggle, they impulsively marched their way to Washington, D.C. demanding the passage of a bill, launched by Representative Wright Patman, requiring immediate payment relief of their World War I bonus. This is where they acquired the name, The Bonus Marchers.
In some cities in the United States, Longboarding has been banned on specific roads Dangerous sports have always been a tremendous interest to a large percentage of the human population. The intensity of fast paced dangerous sports such as longboarding joined with healthy rivalry and a competitive nature seems to make people more impassioned when it comes to sports like these.

Too often we are surrounded by negative thoughts, words and images, the goal of my project is to surround our community with positive messages. We are a community that thrives on positivity, kindness and support of each other. Fill a Sidewalk Day would be our community’s day to fill sidewalks with positive messages to lift up all our citizens. Through the use of the colorful chalk, all homes and businesses would fill the sidewalk in front of their location with messages of positivity and encouragement. This annual tradition would take place in late spring or early summer when our sidewalks are clean and dry for a extended period of time. We would not need to worry about cleaning up these inspirational quotes because the rain will wash it away

Somnambulism, or sleepwalking, belongs to a group of parasomnias. This disorder of arousal is characterized by complex motor behaviors initiated during stages 3 and 4 of non-rapid-eye-movement (NREM) sleep (slow-wave sleep) (3). Behaviors during sleepwalking episodes can vary greatly. Some episodes are limited to sitting up, fumbling and getting dressed, while others include more complex behaviors such as walking, driving a car, or preparing a meal (2). After awakening, the sleepwalker usually has no recollection of what has happened and may appear confused and disoriented. The behaviors performed while sleepwalking are said to be autonomous automatisms. These are nonrelfex actions performed without conscious volition and

The sum of the story revolves into a metaphor for love. Its ups and downs, hastiness and journey to and from has brought an abundance of emotion in this plot. It is mostly comprised from the dialogue and repetition the author ties together to its literals and figurative to represent love as a whole. This way the writer develops a sense of exposure within defining the characters thoughts and actions to understand the context of what is going on. Walking seems to be the central focus in the story. Walking signifies the progression of their love as they walk “one foot in front of the other, over leaves, through bridges.” It displays the increase in intensity about the realization of feelings and decisions being made. As much as for the story’s
