First I joined a gang when I was 17. While is was in the gang I worked as a bouncer in a bar. Man I got into so many fights when I worked there. I got hurt so just to make a little more money I worked as a bartender. That only lasted 2 days. Than I got into a fight and threatening to kill some one and I got fired. On December 30 1918. Was the best day of my like. I marred the best woman in the world. Her name was Mae Capone. I was dating her for two years before giving her the ring. She is a good wife. On December 1,1918 My son Frances was born. I loved playing ball with him outside. Also I loved it when me and him would go for long rides in the car. But also he was the only reason why Mae and I got married
This was the day I was born and when I first met Mary Noe. Mary, was my grandfather’s oldest sister, who wasn’t married and had no children of her own. However, despite popular belief, she never found herself lonely, because she invested her time into our family and all its crazy activities. Mary, loved babies and children and by luck she had plenty of them running around the house. I was the third oldest in my line of cousins on the Noe side, and as time pasted I had a total of eight cousins and two younger siblings. Thus, as one would suspect holidays where interesting to say the
Scandalous, blonde, beautiful…Marilyn Monroe? Madonna? No, Mae West. Most people think of these women when discussing sex symbols, however they forget about the woman who set the stage for future eras. Mae West, born August 17, 1893, started her career early. She began performing in shows from the age of seven. Her career lasted about 70 decades. She worked a range of jobs from being an actress, to play writer, to singer, she did it all. In between all of these she set herself up to be a sex symbol. Her career ended in the 1970’s, about a decade before her death on November 22, 1980. Mae West was an icon not only of her time, but of the future that helped shape the path for future woman in Hollywood.
In 1923, Capone and Torrio had to move their operations to the suburb of Chicago, Cicero. They were forced to move their operations because of the election of William E. Denver, who was determined to end the corruption in Chicago. This was not the end of Torrio and Capone’s political problems. Although, unlike in Chicago, Capone and Torrio did not let the mayoral election in Cicero push them out of the suburb. They ensured their candidates would be elected on March 31,1924, by causing some voters to be shot and killed (history.com, Al Capone).
“You can go a long way with a smile. You can go a lot farther with a smile and a gun.” When you think of a criminal, the average crowd would assume someone dumb, violent, and notorious, but that wasn’t the case with Al Capone. Al was a world class criminal that ran a successful bootlegging business, was responsible for many murderers, and was a big time gambler, but at same time Capone has proven to be a influential leader to many people by being competitive, aware, and risk-taking throughout his career as the “Scarface”.
Two months after mom turned 18 she and dad got married, December 24, 1935. She was a farm wife until the last of her three children was in high school and she was finally able to return to the job market and complete some of those dreams she had as a 16 year old, though there was a 20 some year interruption. The Great Depression changed and reshaped the lives of so many people. Had not that new direction occurred for my mother, I might not have been here to write about her early
Hello there! How you fellas doing? My name is Al Capone. I am a famous gangster that has committed many crimes and had my gang location in Chicago,Illinois. Let me start off my story with when I was born. I was born on January 17, 1899 in Brooklyn, New York. My family had just immigrated to America from Italy. My father, Gabriel, came to America in 1894 from Naples, Italy. He was also educated there. My Mother Teresa was pregnant with me when she immigrated with my father. She also had my two brothers with her named Vincenzo and Raffaele. When my family moved to Brooklyn, my mother gave birth to me. This was the beginning of a new era.
When I was 14 years old, I found myself in a bit of trouble. Acting out, being disrespectful, starting fights, dropping out of school, fighting with my mom, running away, etc. I ended up getting in trouble with the law, and became a warden of the state of Oregon. Placed in Donald E. Long (juvenile corrections facility), B.G.A.S. (Boys and Girls Aid Society), as well as Pettygrove (home for troubled girls).
Al Capone was my savior and I wanted to be just like him. Since I was a wee little girl I knew I was different. I had a different lifestyle than the girls I go to school with. My attitude isn’t good in school and I definitely struggle to keep up with my grades and homework. I only have boy-friends and my mom is the only women I have a close relationship with. Except, my mother has malaria and you could only imagine that a relationship begins to fade when someone is dying and can barely manage to communicate with anyone. She gets the chills, fevers, she begins to sweat vigorously, she gets mild headaches, and she has muscle pain. She vomits constantly making our abode have the stench of rotten milk. Not to mention my little brother John has to see my mother die day by day waiting for her final death. I don’t exactly know what will happen when my mother dies, but I will continue to wait for the day I find out.
Alphonse Capone was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of Gabriel and Teresina Capone who were recent Italian immigrants . They were a poor family of 9 children that came to America looking for a better life. Capone’s father was a barber and his mother was a seamstress. Al Capone went on to become the most infamous gangster in American history. Capone moved out around the time he was in 6th grade to a better home in the outskirts of the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. Here that he would meet both his future wife Mary Coughlin, and his mob mentor Johnny Torrio. As a former petty thug and bookkeeper Capone brought his street smarts and his expertise with numbers to Torrio’s Chicago operations. Torrio recognized Capone’s skills and
The popular image of the 1920s is of an alcohol soaked, jazz enriched, and senseless society that was full of crime. Morally minded citizens tried to solve the growing problem of drunkenness by pushing their efforts to end this behavior. This crusade gained steam in 1920 when the US outlawed the manufacture and sale of liquor which was amended into the Constitution. What was supposed to end this wild behavior of mindless drinking and crime spawned new economic problems and gang wars in major cities around America. What was known as the prohibition era entrenched a network of organized crime with some of the most notorious minds and of these included the most well-known, Al Capone. Capone began to take over the Chicago area in 1925 as a
My father was the adventurous man in the household, and it was because of this characteristic, that he always knew the best place to go to during the summer of my sister and I’s childhood. My father was the one who taught my sister and I how to be creative and have fun with what you have right in front of you. Summer weekends down at Batsto Lake located in the Pine Barrens were my most precious memories.
It all started with me trying to get into a gang. I was 12 and there was a local gang that all the boys my age dreamt of being in. Their leader, his nickname was Squints, was tough. There was about 9 of them at that time. When I asked him, it was at the local gas station.
It was a beautiful day.I just got home from school, my brother and I walked through the door. We got some special news. That my mom would tell us individually.
1995 in mid-January, a very tragic thing happened in my life. I got diagnosed with lung cancer. But i'm doing pretty well to be here to this day! About ten or eleven years later in 2006, one of my best friends, Edna Lewis passed away. That same year in November, my Aunt Anna Ford also passed away.
It was my birthday. Two things that I never thought would happen. One was me getting a chocolate lab I named Hazel, the second was losing a loved one. These two thing happened on one day that I will love and hate for the rest of my life.
