Early Life
Man Ray, was born Emmanuel Radnitzky (August 27,1890 - November 18, 1976), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. he was an accomplished American painter, filmmaker, sculptor, illustrator, Dadaist and Surrealist, and photographer. Being a Dadaist and Surrealist he was a huge contributor for the movement while it lasted. He was known for documenting the lavished life style in France.
He spent most of his life living in France and America; he spent 42 years in America and 44 years in France. Man Ray was born the son of a Jewish immigrant family from Russia. Him and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York when he was young. It is said that in the early midst of 1912 The, Radnitzky family changed their surname to Ray. Emmanuel decided to use, “Man Ray.” Other sources say he changed it to. ““Man”, representing himself, and “Ray” represented of a ‘ray of light’ or ‘of the sun” (Fargler).
In high school Emmanuel was awarded with a scholarship to study architecture at New York University, but did not accept the scholarship. His pursue of art led him to join the, Art students League, and Academy of Design. His work was very similar to Alfred Stieglitz (1864 – 1946) whom he was vary influenced by. In 1913 he visited Stieglitz modern art at 291 Gallery located in Midtown Manhattan.
When older Man Ray would move to Ridgefield, New Jersey. From this time of Man Ray’s life, he was painting landscapes with brash, bright color palettes. In New Jersey Man Ray met a young lady
Ray Charles was born on Sept. 23, 1930, in Albany, Georgia, and grew up in Greenville, Florida. At the young age of five, he began losing his sight, and became completely blind by the time he was seven. However, this did not hinder Ray Charles at all, as he continued to persevere in developing his musical talents. One of the most unique aspects of Ray Charles was his unparalleled ability to crossover different genres of music. He mixed together genres such as blues, jazz, gospel, R&B, pop, and even country. James had a bad early life. He was born March 10, 1928. He was born in Alton Illinois. His mother is Lucille Ray, and his father is George Ellis Ray. He had Welsh, Scots, and Irish in him. He was also Catholic. Ray dropped out of school at 15. After he dropped out he joined the military.

The book Being Sugar Ray by Kenneth Shropshire is a fantastic book for sport fans and especially fans of boxing. If you are not into sports, much less boxing, then this book may be hard to get into and may drag on throughout. This book is a biography about Sugar Ray. It explains his life from beginning to end. I loved “Being Sugar Ray” and think it is an absolute great book because of it being motivational and inspiring throughout.
Ray Lewis was born on Bartow, Florida on May 15, 1975. Elbert Ray Jackson was his father and was largely absent during his son’s childhood. As a boy, Ray Lewis was the oldest and soon became the man of the house. Ray used to do his sister’s hair. He used to take his brothers to daycare every single day.
I read the book the Moves That Make the Man. This book is about a friendship between Braxton Rivers and Jerome Foxworthy. The book also involves many true to life themes from the early 70’s. The book's main character is Jerome Foxworthy. He is a short African-American whose mother is single. In the 70’s people were slow to accept his race. The other main character is Braxton Rivers. He is extremely good at sports and is a medium height. Jerome and Bix first met at the baseball field. The book had many good parts and here is a summary to give a short explanation.

James Sturnfield is an American artist from the Chicago land area that works in multiple forms of art, but focuses his attention to Pop Surrealistic paintings. Born 1996 in Bellwood, Illinois James lived his early childhood with a hearing disability that after eleven different surgeries was fixed. Unable to form words or sentences he wasn’t able to learn any English in till he was four years of age. Growing up in a family of seven James is the youngest of five children. James’s family moved to Hoffman Estates by 2003 in search of improved jobs and a appropriate education for their children. James just as other young minds was never grateful for his schooling he found it dreadful and he didn’t enjoy his time there what he did enjoy was doodling
Robert Henry De Niro was an American abstract expressionist painter, sculptor, and poet born on May third nineteen twenty-two, in Syracuse, New York. He is better known as Robert De Niro Sr. hence being the father of the infamous actor Robert De Niro. He was the son of an American Italian man by the name of Henry Martin De Niro and Helen his Irish American mother. De Niro was the eldest of three, his siblings being John and Joan. Along with his movement in abstract expressionism, De Niro was a huge contributor to post-war American art. De Niro was mainly influenced by France’s early nineteenth century artists including European Modernist painters. De Niro facilitated in creating and establishing representations in his works as unique and specific, rather than a continuing style from early European and American methods.
He continued his education at the Carnegie Institute in Pennsylvania graduating with a BA in Fine Art. Warhol moved to New York in 1948-49 where he started work as a graphic designer, creating adverts for fashion magazines such as Glamour, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Andy Warhol shot to fame and soon became highly respected as a commercial artist. ”Tina Fredrick, then art director of Glamour” says “She was thrilled by Andy’s drawings but could not find a commercial use for them. She told him his drawings were good, but Glamour could only use drawings of shoes at the moment. The next day Warhol came back with 50 drawings of shoes” footwear being an important part of his advertising career until the mid 1960s.

He also was a theoretician and author publishing children's books and his poetry. ¬¬ Throughout the entire twentieth-century his work as captivated many people and grew, let alone Picasso himself mentioned him as "the new Leonardo."
