Martin Luther King Jr. was a peaceful civil rights activist that fought against segregation and racism. To honor his courage and accomplishments I will fight racism.
This change will change my community because there are still racist cops. For instance, about a year ago I was at a friend’s house who is I a rich white cop neighborhood. I was playing music from my phone when a little kid whose dad was a cop came to me and asked if I had Pandora. So I told him yes, which is when he told me to delete it because black people own it. This is why I want to end the racism that cops still have towards black people.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was one of many men in history that have impacted the lives of many around the world. He helped fought to bring awareness to help abolish segregation within the United States and within the hearts and minds of many.
In this world, there are a lot of people who showed great courage and tried to make the world a better place. Among these people, one of them is Martin Luther King Jr. He made the world a better place for black citizens by doing non-violence movements and marched the way to freedom.
Growing up Martin Luther King. Jr had a happy middle class life, but even with all of this he still noticed social problems. His father was a respected preacher, his mother was a college-educated musician, and his grandmother, who lived with them, was extremely fond of him. He was also close to his older sister and younger brother, who started college at fifteen.

Martin Luther King was a prominent man in the lives of African-Americans. He was the greatest American civil rights leader in 1950s and 1960s. The civil rights movement was a hope to secure equal rights for African Americans and allowed them the same privileges as other U.S citizens. He believed that nonviolence was the only way for people to accept civil rights. King’s way of persuading people was with marches and large gatherings. Therefore, for my legal biography project I was determined to do my project on MLK (Martin Luther King).
Martin Luther King Jr. was one of many great civil rights activists that have fought for equal rights. Throughout the 1960’s he persevered through many things such as, “On March 7, 1965, a civil rights march, planned from Selma to Alabama's capitol in Montgomery, turned violent as police with nightsticks and tear gas met the demonstrators as they tried to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge. King was not in the march, however the attack was televised showing horrifying images of marchers being bloodied and severely injured. Seventeen demonstrators were hospitalized leading to the naming the event "Bloody Sunday." Everyone, young or old, gay or straight, women or man, everyone should get equal rights and this man shows why and how we can do it.
It would a good way to honor Dr. King’s life by spreading his word to others, especially the to the generations to come. A way that we could spread these words is by making it a part of today's literature. Every English class across the country learn at least a little bit of shakespeare in their courses. This should be the same for Dr. King. It should become a part of english teachers requirement to show kids Dr. King and his accomplishments including his writings. This would inform a great population of today’s society helping show what a powerful change this man brought to us.

Not everyone is born a leader. Some are pushed into it due to unfortunate circumstances, while others step up to the plate in order to make a radical transformation. It takes a true leader to be able to surmount obstacles that seem to transcend his or her strength in order to bring about change to his or her community. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was one of those leaders. He was undoubtedly the leading Civil Rights leader during his time, inspiring African Americans all across the country to fight their way through white oppression using non-violent means.
The legacy of the great civil right leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. continues to be a topic of much debate nearly a half century after his assassination. This literature review on a more broad and complete view of Dr. Kings legacy and ideals. Dr. King was for racial integration but later on in his life he developed more radical economic views on the distribution of wealth in the United States. Dr. King was a lot more complex then the saint he has been portrayed as in history textbooks. This review will discuss Dr. King as a civil rights leader who had a radical philosophy on economics.
King’s dedication and hard work found him enormous success as a writer. After college, he took on many different laborious jobs before becoming an English teacher. While working as a teacher and taking care of his family, he simultaneously continued to write novels and short stories. King mentions throughout the novel that it is paramount to continue writing no matter what. To never stop mastering your craft. They say practice makes perfect, and that goes for writing as well. In fact, he commented on how his wife always encouraged him to continue writing no matter what the circumstances. She never doubted him. This is also an essential. With someone who believes in you day in and day out, it’s a real confidence booster, and it gives you a reason to keep writing.
Martin Luther King is an extraordinary man who has accomplished great thing in his fight against injustice and segregation. like Selma and other cities it was clouded in a storm of racism but Martin Luther King came and reduced it to ash. “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.” (Martin Luther King) and I think of that wondering if I can live up to those words. Back in the 20’s through 60’s racism was at it’s strongest and it got worse. Martin Luther King had a role model that shaped Dr.King into the man he is and that was his father. Dr. King has achieved many accomplishments and fought many political fights to get Civil Rights.
