Humans typically have a role model in their life. I do, and his name is Martin Luther King Jr. he was born in the time of segregation. When Martin was older he decided to get any black or white people together to march for equal rights, he died the day after he gave a speech about the end of life and the goals one can achieve. Martin was born on January 15th 1929 during a time where different races were not supposed to mix. Martin did not like that he had to go to different schools, drink out of different water fountains, and sit at the back of the bus all because he was black. When Martin got older he gathered together any blacks or whites that disagreed with the separation rules. People of different races marched with Martin to prove points.
First of all, Martin was born in Washington, DC but he was raised in Rockville.He was born on January 18, 1963. His dad was in World War ll . His mom work in congress. He move to Baltimore when he was young with his family.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 as Michael King Jr. He was the middle child of Michael King Sr. and Alberta Williams. Martin began public school at the young age of five years old where he was quickly introduced to racism. His parents, Michael and Alberta, tried to to keep him protected from the influence of racism, but outside of his home was a world filled with negativity.
Martin defines the year between 1962 and 1963 as the only time that black people came together and fought for their freedom. He organized peaceful protests, where the people marched on the street. Martin describes the situation black people had during that time and says,

Even if that might feel or sound harsh that was his childhood and that is how he grew up and somehow he was still able to go to school and learn. Also just to go to eat at a restaurant they had to be seperated from white people.

So he first gathers his black community to go sit on their knees outside the courthouse in Selma, Alabama. They do this to try and gain access to their legal right to register to vote but the white civilians and officials will not let them. So Martin knows if the have a silent protest, where they do not fight back, then it will make the police and whites look very bad in front of the whole country. He also knows that the police cannot arrest them all either because there is not enough room in jail for them all. He is one to stand for what he believed in and never back down. He did not care if people were on his side, or no one at all.
As many people including myself didn’t know that Martin Luther King was a huge fan of Star Trek. More specifically he was a huge fan of Nichelle Nichols, an actress that played Lt. Uhura in the tv show. During the first series of Star Trek Nichols wanted to leave the show because she thought her role on the show was being diminished. She so happens told this to Martin Luther King at a dinner they were having and he told she couldn’t leave and needed to stay on the show. He later explained that she was a huge role model to many African American women and girls since she was the only African-American on TV in a role worth having. At first, Nichols thought he was being a bit bossy but as she thought about it more she realized he was right and

Both of his parents tried hard to protect their kids from being exposed to racism, but it was impossible.
