I always had interest in a clinical research career that serves a large number of people by emphasizing more on research studies by exploring whether a medical strategy, treatment or device is safe and effective for humans. As a graduate in medicine, my strong base in the medical field continually challenged and motivated me to expand my skills in patient care. My coursework has allowed me to develop a keen understanding of how disruption in biological systems can influence one’s health. I choose to pursue a career in clinical research because of its strong emphasis on complicated in-detail practical procedures and fast-paced thinking along with modern cutting edge technology. “Dedicated to enhancing professional and personal growth for allied health professionals, American Medical Technologists (AMT) awards the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential to qualifying individuals.
Clinical Research Internship Study Program (CRISP) at the Mayo Clinic Florida strengthened my idea that research is an integral part of clinical medicine. After the CRISP, I decided a MD/Ph.D. suits my future goals better than an MD or Ph.D. because it will better equip me with essential tools, such as the ability to practice and develop medicine, needed to provide the best patient care possible. Spending many weeks on Cerner Millennium power chart sorting

I want to attend George Washington’s physician assistant program because their mission and strong curriculum will help me attain my academic objectives and become a successful PA in primary care. I will fulfill the mission at George Washington as a PA because I plan to practice evidence-based medicine, advocate for my patients, and serve the community. From my dietetics major, I learned the importance of practicing evidence-based medicine to provide the highest quality care to my patients, which is how I will practice as a PA too. Secondly, I will strive to support my patients holistically with their medical needs. Providing quality, compassionate care to my residents as a CNA, I learned how to be a reliable caregiver and address any questions about their care that they have. Lastly, I learned the importance of volunteering and serving the community from my mother as a kid and began to volunteer at church and school alongside her. Also, I was a Girl Scout for eleven years and at the end of high school earned my
As I walked into that small and musty room, in a dimly lit corner of an office building, I did not expect much. I was very reluctant to accept my first job as a 16-year-old in medical records at a multi-physician practice in my small hometown. Why couldn’t I have been hired at the restaurant down the street where all of my friends worked? As I began this all but glorious job scanning paperwork, filing patient records, and obtaining multiple paper cuts along the way, it turned into something very unexpected. I ended up loving the atmosphere of working in a medical practice, and I knew the medical field was something I wanted to explore further.

As an aspiring PA, availability in the northwest region of North Carolina is high, fulfilling my wishes.
While completing a dual Master’s of Social Work and Public Health at the University of Michigan, I worked at Michigan Medicine. I learned there that there was more to shaping the patient experience than the clinical aspects of patients’ care. My deep desire to contribute positively to patient relations in a system that shaped the professional I am today is the reason why I enthusiastically submit my application for the Patient Relations Specialist position. As a former Patient Services Assistant in the operating rooms, I took the time to learn about the resources available to our patients to ensure that their time with us was one in which they felt validated and supported.
I am writing this letter to give my highest recommendation of Ms. Shari Allen for admission to the school of medicine’s physician assistant program. I have had the opportunity of working closely with Shari in my clinical practice of Pediatrics as a preceptor for the greater part of three months in 2009. During her time as a mentee, Shari has demonstrated a strong interest in becoming a future practitioner in medicine by her drive to learn basic sciences, her curiosity for medicine and her ability to learn quickly, which makes her an outstanding candidate for the program.
The emergency lights light up the hallway as the ambulance pulls in, everybody's hearts are racing but composure is held, that bay door opens and the EMT’s rush in doing chest compressions while steering the stretcher with precision the patient is safely transferred to another bed, the CPR continues and another team takes over all with the intent to save this life. This is a brief description of the teamwork involved in emergency medicine. This is the typical thoughts one may have about an emergency situation, but what they don’t realize is all the teamwork involved in medicine in general. I chose to do my career investigation project on becoming a Physicians Assistant.

Exploring various research opportunities on campus and summer internships have allowed me to shape what I want my future to look like. When the time approached to set my personal and professional goals, I made a conscientious decision to enter a field that would allow me to leave a positive impact on mankind, while adding to the current body of research. There is more that can be done by combining research and medicine, and additional steps I can take to enhance scientific advances. These convictions, coupled with my passion for medicine and science, were significant factors in my interest in becoming a physician-scientist, pursuing an MD-PhD. As a scientist, I see how creation and innovation can aid. As a future medical doctor, I see the need to treat, heal, and

The FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine's promise of a nurturing environment in addition to its mission, vision and values symbolizes an institution that strongly resonates with my own personal goals as a future physician whose qualities are guided by the background of research, efficiency, and community involvement. The concept that structures a successful research are the fundamentals that apply to medicine, beginning with a theory, prediction, experimentation and finally observation; fundamentals realized and understood throughout my undergraduate year. On my first day, my research advisor said that I should strive for excellence and I should not be halted by the failures I may experience, instead, learn from those failures and adapt. Keeping this ideology in mind I was able to assist my team towards the completion of our project.
