Culture is like food. Picking individuals that love a certain type. Being a mango in a strawberry patch not knowing if this is my identity. A mango, a odd ball in a strawberry patch shows me that my identity is like being in a mexican parade, with a ?hopeless? sign tied to my back.
My culture, I never really thought of it. Mexican Language is part of this culture I speak of. Also a big part in my household, to the phrases ?puta? and ? tu eres un pendejo?, to ?la miel puede pasar que me? or ?gracias?. ?Ma? a word specifically made for a spanish child or any latin american race. A word commonly used, yet a word so distant that it is unfamiliar to me, and when spoken sounds so livid.
My attitude, or my so called personality, a trait I learned from my culture. Spiciness of a latina yet soft as a white female. Either snappy or rude, or combed offed as ?oh she's on her period? when days don?t go my way. An aggressive side is a lot to handle, shows me that I am not a toy and I fend for myself like my previous ancestors did. It also has its ups, not will not be snappy but the kindness and beauty with it. I am proud to be a mixed race.

Due to this presidential race, I see it differently. Am I really what he says? A Rapist? A Druglord? A JOB STEALER? I now look at myself with doubt. Yes there are some who come to the United States as this ,but due they have a choice? My father is no such thing, he a proud mexican american, and I plan to follow his footsteps. Donald Trump a man sickened with winning calls himself as our future president, but to me he is no such thing, and will never ever inflict anything on my culture ,no more. One way that this culture has affected me personally, physically, and mentally is that no matter how big or taught the opponent maybe we always find a way out and achieve
