Middle Ages has also known by it's called "Dark Ages". It is approximately during 500-1500 AD, which is right after the fall of Roman Empire. The reason why it's called Dark Ages, because during that time period, there is very little literature was made, technologies seem went backward, people don't have a common language to use. The Middle Ages can be subdivided into three parts: early, high, and late Middle Ages. There are a lot of violence, chaos, and wars at that time. And mostly is related to the religions. A lot of poverty, famine, and one of the most severe disease happened.

There are couple important events in that historical period. One important event is Crusades. The war is between Christianity and Muslim, the tensions between this two religions were extending, and what causes the war is that the Christianity wanted to recapture the holy land Jerusalem which was ruled by Muslim. And the war continued hundreds of years. The effects of the crusades are it increased trading, helped to undermine the feudalism. The other important event is the Black Plague also referred to Black Death. It begins in Asia, passed into Europe by the fleas lived on rats. This horrible disease approximately 25 million people, it's nearly one-third of the whole European population. Because there are so many people died in this disease, very few people can work.
