In the last century, the post cold war environment of America moved forward with variety of experimental studies involving mind control and social engineering. Each had its merits and results, but were decidedly in some violation constitutional laws. In each case, there has also been varying degrees of success. Most of this is covered up by influencing large groups to do most of their own cover ups and dirty work. Some cases are more blatant than others, but the facts paint the United States in a dark and cold light. Because experimentation on American citizens is nothing new and likely to continue in the 21st century. Here is a list of secret experiments conducted by the American government. 1. The Manhattan Project Perhaps the …show more content…
It primarily focused on creating technologies that could be used for mind control and cult phenomena. The goal was to create ways to influence groups and individuals, then use forms of brainwashing to make them into automatons which could be introduced into society and controlled easily. The government programs at the Montauk Hind Control Project facilities were the source of major controversy, as data gathered during the experiments became more widely scrutinized. There were rumors of ritualistic abuse, occult practices, and abductee subjects of various ages. The work done at the Montauk Hind facilities made possible the further growth of results gathered within the Phoenix programs and a later finalizing project to be called simply …show more content…
Monarch butterflies transform via a crystallis state, which is similar to what the project experiments were trying to do with test subjects. Testing on human beings involved indoctrination and use of ritual abuse to create triggers in subjects, these could then be revived at a later time. The result being an unconscious reaction could be triggered days, weeks, or years later. The subject would then awaken from a sleeper state, and become transformed into various personality fractures. MONARCH subjects were intended for use in black ops and secret government activities. Tests revealed different people trained better for some types of black ops, these people were divided into types based on their skillset. The types were assassins, sexual predators, and remote viewing psychics. Some test subjects were found unsuitable for MONARCH programming, since they were unable to put them into sleeper states with any characteristic methods. Much of the work done in MONARCH programming was intended on being useful by the year 2012, at the turn of the Maya calendar ending, somehow related to the galactic alignments on planet Earth during that coming time
The army created the Manhattan-Rochester Coalition to carry out the Manhattan Project that would conduct human radiation experiments to determine the effects of atomic radiation and radioactive contamination on the human body, generally on people who were poor, sick, or powerless. (Martino-Taylor, Behind the Fog). The tests were usually performed, funded, or supervised by the United States Military. During these tests, the army purposefully released radioactive chemicals over cities in the United States. The purpose of the tests was to measure the health effects of radioactive fallout that resulted from nuclear bomb tests. The focus of this research paper will be the testing done in St. Louis, MO. Another example of similar testing involves
During the final stages of World War II, America dropped bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. The bomb meant victory for America, but devastation for Japan. The bomb not only incinerated innocent human lives, but it also influenced an ongoing arms race with other countries. The Manhattan Project was a secret organization made up of the most intelligent scientist whom were led by President D. Roosevelt. The primary objective for which it was created was to cause mass destruction and to quickly terminate the conflict with Japan. With President Roosevelt’s death, Vice-President Truman was induced into office as President. As the nation’s leader, Truman continued the Manhattan Project and issued a final warning to Japan known as the Potsdam Declaration. Japan’s refusal inadvertently caused one of the most inhumane destructions of all time - the dropping of the atomic bomb.
The US Constitution came to life 230 years ago, but recent actions of the National Security Agency is interpreted to be defying the Bill of Rights by the government and depriving the citizens their constitutional right to privacy. However, when posed with the question: Do people want to live in a surveillanced environment like animals in a zoo, with justice and safety ensured but privacy denied completely ? , the answers vary in the community. The revelation of the National Security Agency's massive
Upon approaching the town of Los Alamos, New Mexico, the first thing a visitor sees are grand vistas, and one stepped plateaus leading to the Jemez Mountains that overlook the Rio Grande Valley. It's perhaps one reason that the notable physicist Robert Oppenheimer persuaded the Army to bring the Manhattan Project to Los Alamos, which would become the main assembly plant.
The Manhattan Project was a way for America to defend themselves and grow as a country. At the start of World War II Germany was already winning the race to building an atomic bomb. They had all of the supplies and people to do it. America was very concerned about this threat from Germany. When president Franklin D. Roosevelt got a letter from Albert Einstein starting we needed to start a nuclear program (Ratnesar 1).
The fact that is caused 3 uncontrollable seizures, and the post-traumatic stress it placed about the test, was inhumane. However, I found this test to be very interesting, whereas, most of the participants were not willing to go further, but under pure pressure and orders, they went to the max. Are we as humanity, that weak to pure pressure and orders? Not a single person walked out of the experiment and said forget the money, they all stayed under the direct order of the administrator. It makes question on the security of our country and our people, or how far people are willing to go for a few
America is known as the land of the free. Does being given illegal drugs without your knowledge by your own government sound like freedom? What about being treated with dangerous electroshock therapy for a minor mental ailment? Although these sound like plots from a terrifying science fiction novel, it is what the CIA experimented with from 1953-1964. As the fear surrounding threats of Communism and the Cold War intensified, American citizens and the government looked for steadfast ways to ensure the safety of the country. The CIA launched a highly secretive mission called MKULTRA in order to help achieve its goal. All over the Communist world, speculations were being made about “brainwashing” (Louis). The CIA felt
The Manhattan Project was one, if not the most, secretive projects to take place in the history of the United States of America. Dating back to World War II, its purpose was to create a bomb capable of splitting atoms apart. The project was a success and resulted in one of the most devastating bombs ever to be developed and utilized by mankind. Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman, the acting Presidents during the time, faced many factors that were involved in deciding to proceed with developing and ultimately, dropping the bomb.
Once you read about some of the things they did to the people in their so called science experiments is hard to believe that humans actually did that to other humans. Like there was one where they were testing mustard gas burns. They exposed the people to it deliberately then once they had the burns they would study them. Another one they were testing was head injury experiments. They took this little boy about ten, eleven, or twelve and strapped him down to a chair where he could not move and just above his head was a mechanized hammer that would come down every few seconds and hit him on the head. Eventually he was driven insane. This isn’t even a science experiment this is pure torture. strapped him down to a chair where he could not move and just above his head was a mechanized hammer that would come down every few seconds and hit him on the head. Eventually he was driven insane((head injury
On December 7th 1941 the United States was hit with an attack from the Japanese known as the attack on Pearl Harbor. The United States had absolutely no way to see this attack coming. As a result the United States entered WWII. Our precedent in the war made a gigantic impact on those fighting. An impact that still remains to this day.
An article written by Khan academy lays out the events leading up to the detonation of the atomic bombs. The article gives information on the Manhattan Project, which was the codename for the US government. Khan academy also writes about how the atomic bomb was built as well as how the atomic bombs ended WWII.
The year was 1945, World War II is nearing its end with the defeat of Germany. However, the war in the Pacific was far from over. The U.S. had pushed the Japanese back their mainland and needed to invade in order to force a Japanese surrender. The campaign would likely have been long and hard-fought. However, the US had a secondary plan to use a new type of bomb, an atom bomb. This new type of bomb was told to have power that could end all wars. This was a bomb that destroy humanity.
Two-hundred-thousand dead- that was the result of the work accomplished in the top-secret Manhattan Project. This top-secret project costed two-billion dollars employed around twelve-thousand people. Although the government tried to hide such a big project, it wouldn’t stay a secret for long. Those scientists, employees, and all their work would prove not to be in vain because soon America would repay Japan for the bombing of Pearl Harbor and furthermore win the war. The Manhattan Project, one of the biggest secrets in American history led to the discovery of the atomic bomb and revolutionized the playing field of warfare.
The purpose of the manhattan project was to develop an atomic bomb for the United States defenses. President Roosevelt ordered it to be created. And it was to be kept secret so it wasn't stolen by germans and other spies to speed up their nuclear process.
The Manhattan project mainly took places in remote places in New Mexico, Washington, and Tennessee. There were also research facilities at Chicago and Berkeley colleges. There was a research pile called up-1 in Chicago were Enrico Fermi was conducting research on the exact amount of neutron radiation needed for a safe and controlled nuclear reaction. Cp-2 was built in Argonne, Illinois to move research away from heavily populated areas.
