First of all, I want to tell you that this the most retarded book I've ever read in my entire eighteen years of being alive. Not only did I spend hours after working and going to school trying to read this book so I could do this report. It was really hard to stay intact to a book that doesn't make much sense anyways much less at 11:30 PM at night.
There are lots of things that contribute into a good reading experience. A few of them being, you have to want to read the book. You also have to pick a good time where you can focus on the book. Also, you need to be able to evaluate every couple of pages to make sure that your understanding what's happening in the story. In the book I read there's this part where he falls in love with the common
One thing I dislike of books are short sentences, I like long, and descriptive ones because they give me the most information to let me understand the book. I read faster if I enjoy the book, and read slow if I dread reading it. The books I like to read is full of drama, and suspense, such as the book Looking for Alaska. I prefer reading in a quiet environment, and when I have food. You may ask why do you eat while you are reading. Well to answer that, is when the book gets intense, I like to chomp on snacks to let me release my
What is it about a book that keeps one reading? One continues to read a book when it is interesting and if they can make a connection to it. But, what makes a book interesting? There are many ways authors attract their readers. Authors use different techniques like, circle chronological order style, evoking strong emotions, and creating complex characters to shock and lure their readers.
I was able to focus on reading, but I kept reading the same things more than once. It took me much longer than it should have to read the narrative. I eventually was able to relate to the writer.
Growing up I was never a big fan of reading, but as I got older I noticed books are very essential. They are filled with adventures and lessons that only exist in wildest imagination. Without books many of us wouldn't know half the things we know today. Books teaches us math , science, history ,and even how to use a computer or how to play a sport. With so many different genres to choose from and millions of books to read , the task of reading can never get boring, especially when you're actively reading
Yet without realizing, you are becoming more committed and dedicated to the plot. When reading, Night, my heart was beating fast with adrenaline of what horrible event would happen to Eliezer next. The inspections at the doctors office would always make me sit at the edge of my seat while the public hangings would make me grab for the tissue box. On the other hand while reading, Little Women, I felt more of a personal bond with Jo. She is a flawed hero making mistakes as she goes along. She would get her only pair of gloves dirty and burn her dress. These events made me connect with her since I am clumsy in that way too. Learning the ins and outs of the characters simply cannot be done to this extent if it’s not a
Reading is a wonderful reality escape. Not every book I have the chance to receive is easy to read. Some books are difficult to read due to not having privacy, time management, and having no patience.
Have you ever heard someone say “I love this boring book so much, let me keep on reading!”? I highly doubt it. Throughout the years we have read various books either for education purposes or entertainment. We seem to find those educational books long and dreadful that we want to quit reading, but when it is something good and entertaining we want more. When we are reading a book that we can relate too, it becomes addicting and we connect with the book so much by the type we finish reading we are devastated. We are eager to know what is going to happen next. When it comes to writing we are always told to catch our reader’s attention, to connect with them, and hook them to keep on reading.
A way to make reading more fun is to learn about the book genres before reading them. For example, legends are stories based on history. The facts and adventure of the protagonist are exaggerated (“Book Genres”). This shows the details about the genre, which can help the reader understand the stories
Reading for pleasure allows your imagination to take over. Books expand our minds, and people who read often tend to have a very creative imagination. When you watch television the images are already created for you, but, when you read, you create the images using your imagination. The possibilities are endless when you use your imagination.
I as a reader enjoy reading, however I do not do it as often as I would like. I always have trouble starting books, I would say that the first five to chapters are the hardest to get through. I admire how with reading you are able to make your own depiction of what’s happening, instead of seeing what others envisioned. To me a great book must have twists and turns to keep me interested. I love being able to get to know the characters, feeling as if they are apart of your own life, being able to see them as almost a friend in your own life. Taking their life lessons and putting them to use in your own. I like more romantici books where they have to get over many obstacles to obtain their great love. I also enjoy reading about a character who is able to turn their troubles around and become better than they once were.
Everyone wants to read a book that they find interesting. This is prevalent throughout any grade; Elementary through college and further on. In order to peak interests, you find a novel that you believe would catch your attention the whole time. A book that makes you lose interest within the first two pages is one that you would stay away from. Humans have all kinds of different interests, some that may be fascination and that you agree with, and some you might despise.
Whenever I start reading a book, browsing content titles, I stop a while with myself. Do I want to read this particular book? What’s the most interesting thing let me continue reading?
Many people would rather watch a movie than read a book, but not me. Movie buffs argue that movies save time, because they only take less than two hours to watch. Sadly, people won't even read a book anymore because they just can go see the movie. They don't realize how much they are missing! Reading a book gives the reader the power to illustrate the story in their own mind, while a movie does that for you. Reading creates a connection between the author with reader, and when watching a movie it's hard to get that connection with the author because most of the time you don't even know who the author is. Reading lets your mind take you places you never even knew you had. Reading the book is the better way to go because in reading you get to experience something a movie cannot provide for you.
When you find a book interesting you are able to fully understand and grasp what is going on in the story line. The book will hold your attention to the end because you found it interesting. I personally think a book needs to be interesting rather than popular in order for me to continue reading it. An interesting book I may be able to relate to and get more
My reading experiences have always been enjoyable. I love to read when I find an interesting book. It’s easy for me to be sucked into a book if the story catches my eye. I mostly like to read teen romance novels. They appeal to me simply because of my interest in a love story. My parents hate buying me books because they know I’ll be finished reading within a week or so. Reading has always been really easy to me. It seems almost natural to be sucked into other worlds. The words start to flow over the pages and suddenly it feels like I’m not even reading anymore. Unless I have to read a book for school or it doesn’t catch my attention, I might have a hard time bringing myself to read it.
