Movie Review : ' The Yell Coming From Superman '

Waiting for “Superman” is a documentary that focuses on five children-Anthony, Bianca, Emily, Francisco, and Daisy- who are looking for a better outcome for their education. The film is set up to follow different stories to explain how the school system works and the different ways that each school district functions. In detail, it unravels the struggle of the American school system and how the roles of charter schools has increased. It shows the five different charter schools that each child wants to attend while explaining how it would improve that child’s education. By following their stories, director Davis Guggenheim demonstrates how the American public school system is broken.

“Okay pray i have a good shot.” He pulls his gun and shoots the ropes you fall.

So after he finished helping the people that needed help before that, he rushed to Evil Man. He saw what Evil Man did so he started to worry he wouldn’t be able to fix everything. So he eventually started fighting Evil Man and it took a while for him to take him down but he got it. As soon as he did that he hurried to the people that was hurt and saved them. Soon after that he got the name Superman.

“So yeah, some people may have been approached to discuss the plan -it wasn’t us.”

“Who’s they?” he wanted to know. “Who, specifically, do you think is trying to murder you?”

As an American we have taken pride in our steady advancement and progression yet this generation have allowed technology to take the place of our desired expectations in life. In this socialization people tend to slack off into a world of illusion. This era of time from 2001 to the present time we should be named Generation Anti- Social Slacker. This generation is notorious for having no sense of direction we are easily distracted by unnecessary events and issues. Generation Anti- social Slackers lives in a fictitious world where we are allowed to create goals. In a heartbeat, he rushes to the rescue, with his experience in war, he has the edge in combat. He’s walking at a very fast pace and hits him with a left hook, knocking him down instantly. He climbs on top of him, taking out all of his frustration and anger while beating the life out of him. The young girl tries to stop him but he hits her as well.

2010 Mr. Davis Guggenheim—an American film director and producer wrote and directed Waiting for “Superman”, a documentary that deals with the American education system. Guggenheim argues that they are failing more each year in producing successful students. He finds where the faults are within the public educational system. He takes the time to show us some of the faces to those numbers to make his pubic realize they are more than just numbers dropping off the charts. He wishes to not only inform, but also to inspire others to act. This essay expresses how he portrays his arguments effectively; also identifying and analyzing the strategies that Guggenheim uses to organize and develop his ideas and determine who his intended audience is.

Strong-hearted and unafraid, Beowulf’s character is the example of the heroism that many of the characters in novels, movies, and even various of real-life people have aimed at achieving. The iconic hero of The Dark Knight (2008), Bruce Wayne, otherwise known as the “Bat Man”, steps up to protect and save the people of Gotham City. The two of these protagonists are very different- but the similarities they share are key when asking the question: “Are they ‘Epic Heroes’?” Beowulf is emphasized as being a loyal, honest, and strong leader.

“I honestly can’t answer that.” said Lt. Scott. “We only follow orders. But I think there will be people coming in that convoy that may be able to help. Also, anyone right now need any medical help? Doc can look at them but we have to be going.”

Both texts argue the decline of our nation’s literacy and school merit that comes with. Ultimately, Guggeheim builds his credibility with citing reputable resources through ethos, logos, and how teachers are destitute of rudimentary teaching skills and techniques, along with government involvement worsening educational plight.
