Starring in a six movie series, Rocky Balboa touched the hearts of countless Americans through his battles with other fictional boxers. In each successive film, Rocky was presented with life crises’, tough opponents, and his aging body. He came to define the notorious underdog continually drawing strength from previous obstacles to surpass odds and succeed. Rocky’s ability to keep moving forward, regardless of the challenge, is what made him who he is. Although my individual battle may be different, I mirror Rocky’s ability to constantly be persistent especially in regards to school and working out.

Muhammad was a person who had desires of being a great person not a simple person. The World History Project states that, “Muhammad Ali wins light-heavyweight gold medal at Summer Olympics”. The World History Project exemplified that, Muhammad had won a trophy at a special sporting event. The World History Project insinuates that, “Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) defeats Sonny Liston for Heavyweight Title”. The World History Project informs that, Muhammad has won a great accomplishment as a Heavyweight Champion. Muhammad Ali has made a great lifetime for his career.

Michael Jordan had a passion for Basketball. It was not something he did to fill up his spare time; it was a goal that he knew would be his channel to influence the world. When we follow our passion, we would paint the world in very bright colors. It is important to know that our passion is our DNA, which would be the channel through which we make a mark in our world. Michael Jordan’s passion still speaks because he has influenced many generations of young people in the game of Basketball.

During his life, Ali was forced to make some tough decisions, and always made them his own way. At the time of Ali's fighting, the United States were involved in the Vietnam War. As a result, young Americans were been drafted to serve in the military. When political figures saw Ali fighting, they decided to stop the hurting of our own and draft him, so he hurts the people in Vietnam. Ali was not pleased with this decision, because ha had just won the Heavyweight Championship and because he said, "I ain't got no quarrel with them Vietcong"(Hauser 144). His final decision on the issue was that he would not go to war. He was not willing to go and kill people, while his own are in bad conditions at home. In the same way, he was forced to decide if he wanted to become a billionaire and sell his people, or to become poor and not sell his people (185). Throughout history there have been many influential people who have lived in this country. Some were politicians, some were actors, and some were even athletes. One such man was a gifted boxer named Muhammad Ali. He made his mark as an amateur, then as a professional. "The Greatest" was the self-proclaimed nickname of Ali, but so many people agreed that it stuck. He went through trials and tribulations in his life, which make him a historic icon. Muhammad Ali is known for being "The Greatest" boxer of all time, but unlike other athletes he is remembered for his out of the ring actions as well as his athletic accomplishments.

Muhammad Ali had an outstanding record of 56 wins, 5 loses, and had 37 knockouts even to some opponents treat people thought he would never beat like the big bear AKA Sunny Liston.

Muhammad Ali faced many hardships through his life and through his career. His personality, traits, and mindset shaped him to be one of the most influential athletes in history. Ali shows basic characteristics of a leader and through his continued adversities shows and promotes many theories that changed and influenced many of his followers. Through his ability to apply his big five traits and transformational leadership style he became a legendary icon.
