The career goals I am preparing for include finishing my BSN, then continuing to receive my MSN, receiving my RN-C and becoming a clinical instructor for a community college. I plan to start taking classes for my MSN degree as soon as I finish my BSN because you must have a Master’s degree to become a clinical instructor. Becoming a clinical instructor has been a dream of mine since I started nursing school in 2009. When students come to the NICU for their observation day, I make sure to teach them everything I know about neonates because they only get one afternoon in the NICU and I want them to leave loving the specialty as much as I do. I want to teach clinical at a community college versus a four year college so I can encourage the nursing students to continue on for their BSN immediately upon completion of their Associate’s degree because “generally,

This is the reason why I am applying for this scholarship. I know that the field of study that I have chosen can one day change this world. Since many difficulties in human society are often connected to the interaction of genetics, behavior and environment, it is proven that an animals’ behavior can help save this world from a disaster. I truly believe that my research and the mind that God has given me can one day have an impact in the world. Having an education and faith in God is the only way I can continue to believe that I can make a difference. I know that I need to be knowledgeable to be successful in this society and I want to obtain the most information I can throughout school. This scholarship will help me push through any other hardships that I face in the future because I know that if I can get through this, I can get through
This scholarship would not only represent a financial help in paying my college tuition, it would also give me hope and motivation making me believe that I can do everything once I put my mind to it. It would give a stronger structure to my future career’s foundation, making it reliable and promising with every step I take to build my ladder higher and higher. This scholarship would serve as a scaffolding: whenever my ladder attempts to fall or lose its strength and balance somehow, this scholarship would remind me that I am not alone, there are people who care to help, who stand by my side and encourage me to keep that ladder standing straight and strong. I would see this scholarship as my first great achievement on my way in becoming a neuropsychologist.
This scholarship is not just money that I need for college, it is much more than that. This is an opportunity for me to be able to focus on my course work and that solely. Instead of being pre occupied with the worriers of loans and everyday financial needs. There has been times where I have had to step down from good learning opportunities or just a simple assignment because I did not have the funds that were required. For example there was a point in this semester were I had to talk to a professor about working something out for an extra credit assignment because I could not afford to buy a pumpkin that we needed for the assignment. Luckily she was nice enough to adjust the terns of the assignment for me, but that was a special circumstance,
My parents believe the best way for me to understand an education’s value is to help pay for my own, so this scholarship would change my life by reducing my financial burden and providing me with more downtime to pursue my passions.
