If I had to choose my 6 favorite people to have dinner, they would probably be these; Tyler Woodward, Grandpa Enrique, Mrs. Johnson, Jordon Mullins, and Kendrick Lamar. These 6 people are my favorites because they have made my 8th grade year funny and entertaining. They have also been there to support me and make me laugh when I fell down or whenever I have some personal issues. These are the people I chose and these people are the ones that have my back whenever. In the following paragraphs I am going to talk about each one of them in detail and I will explain my reasons why I would invite them over for dinner. The first person I would Invite to my dinner would be my Grandpa Enrique because he passed away and I didn’t have much time to thank him for all the amazing things he taught me. He is my number one choice because he’s very caring and nice. He adored me so much that every time I would see him he would sing me a song. I want him to come to my dinner because I would want to ask him how he is doing now that he is gone and if he is guarding my from the sky, so I don’t mess up big time. I would also want him to cut fresh vegetables from the garden so I can make him his pozole he loved so much. My grandpa isn’t the only one I would invite because I have many other people to invite and I also have reasons why I would Invite them. The second person I would invite to dinner would be Kendrick Lamar because with his music he shows people that there isn’t always a bad side to
The first person that I would choose to have over my house for dinner would be Lauren Hill because she is my favorite musician but that is
My choice for dinner is to be with Thomas Jefferson because he was the most interesting and just the coolest! My reasoning behind this is because Thomas Jefferson was one of the founders and authors of the declaration of independence. Other interesting he was the 3rd president of the United States Of America. Thomas Jefferson was the first secretary of state. Thomas Jefferson proposed a bill to establish free schools every six miles. He helped developer our political system as well which is fascinating.
Dinner is about communication whether it is with family or someone you have just met. You exchange stories and learn a lot about a person. So as I say this I have chosen three women to take to dinner not only because they are African American but because they are women so they had to not only deal with racism but also sexism. I am taking Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, and Angela Davis out to dinner at Paschal’s Restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. I am taking them here because this is a place that used to host civil rights leaders and strategists for meals when they wanted to discuss what can be done. This place has a history with the African American community so it is not only a great conversation starter but also a place that all three the people I choose can have a connection to even if they were never part of the Civil Rights time period because they all fought for the same thing the people that used to meet here fought for.
A Lot of people may love shopping or going on long walks on the beach or even go on amazing adventures, but one of the most enjoyable things I love to do with my family is eating. I could eat for days or even months. Every holiday I never miss my mother’s homemade tamales, especially Thanksgiving. Just when I take a bite, the tamale breaks apart in my mouth. When my mother makes home made burritos, the rice and the beans just taste super delicious and the cheese melts right in my mouth. Sometimes my mother would make some menudo with lots of love in it. I would put some lemon juice to make it sour and onions to give it that flavor.
I would invite Casey Neistat, God, and Steve Jobs. Some background of these gentlemen is that Casey Neistat is a YouTube vlogger, someone who videos his everyday life. God, who is nothing and also everything at the same time. Steve Jobs who is the creator of Apple. These three people have impacted my life in one way or another, whether it be physically or emotionally. Each one did something different which helped me physically and mentally. On the menu, it is split into appetizers, entrees, and desserts. During each aspect of the meal ,we will talk about different ideas and thoughts. To start off, as an appetizer we have a caesar salad and some nice garlic bread. Later on, in the dinner comes to the entrees. They include steak with mash
So, for my first person to invite to dinner is Patrick Henry. I would invite him so I could get to know him as a person and I think I could have so decent conversations with him. I would also ask him what he thinks of women having rights and able to wear pants. There would be a question about the slaves becoming free and able to vote. It would be very interesting.
“Great opportunities come to all but many do not know they have met them. The only preparation to take advantage of them is simple fidelity to what each day brings.” -A. E. Dunning. I think that the dinner reception will be a great opportunity for me. I would like to meet all the inspirational people that are going to the dinner, and hopefully I will be able to learn a thing or two.
Tonight after the meal Abhi and his wife Andrea Dutt will lead the service. Nick calls us now to gather in a circle and pray before the meal. It is a buffet style potluck so after I fill my plate I sit next to a woman named Mary(last name) and a few others. Something I really like about the open table is that it’s always a slightly different mix of people. Part of our hospitality is that new people are always welcome. Mary is new as of the spring when she became a member of the
I ended up seated between Justin and Charlotte with his mother across from me. She had made a delicious pot roast dinner and I enjoyed every bite of it. I hadn't had a meal this nice in a while since I tended to not eat what my mother cooked because I was usually angry. Like always.
“Beth, join us for dinner please!” I huff and trot into the kitchen where my family is seated for dinner. I sit in my usual spot across from my 10 year old brother, Brennan, whose eyes are glued to his tablet.
I have read many books in all my school years. The book The Road to Chlifa is one of the most entertaining books I have read because of all the feelings, adventure, and life lessons you can learn by reading this book. Ultimately the characters go through many hardships that allowed me to connect with one of the characters. My favorite character from the novel is Maha Tabbarek because of her loving attitude towards his brother, strong, and her rudeness.
I have spent approximately 5,735 hours sitting at a dinner table with my family. Some of those hours dragged by and some of them ran out in the blink of an eye. Many hours took place around a huge mahogany table that seemed to extend for miles, while others occurred around a tiny folding table, barely big enough to contain the food and conversations being passed above it. However, one of the things that has always stayed that same, no matter the table or the topic of discussion, was the people that sat around it. Family dinner is such a profound time of the day; a time when everyone can come together as one. Throughout all of these years and all of these dinner tables, I have come to learn that relationships are sacred.
Yes guys it’s me Humna Qureshi who always want to be known as “The Great Humna”. I was born in Pakistan, on 19 December 2000. I have many events which I will always remember in my life no matter how old I am because those things give me reason to live my life happily and achieve my goals. My story begins when I was six or seven years old, a girl who had crush on superman, who was never real. Of course you can expect anything from Humna Qureshi. Superman used to help every person on this planet and I always wanted to be superman. I went for shopping with my parents and bought superman costume. Next day I took shower and wore my superman dress since I believed that after wearing that costume I will be powerful and nice helpful girl. So, I was running here and there, jumping from one couch to another and helping everyone which is one of my favorite things. I went in the drawing room trying to jump high then suddenly there was a blackout. I didn’t know what happen with me only thing I saw was I was in my dad’s lap ended up in the hospital. I have two sisters and three brothers, for me my family comes first. I always used to think that why my father always forced us to have strong family bonds. He always forced us to give your family number one priority and then your friends. Funniest part in this is that I am only 16 years old and hopefully I will be seventeen years old after two months. I always wanted to write about myself who I am really because I have so much things to say
I have been immersed in music for most of my life. My musical home is influenced by both American music-culture and Pakistani music culture. I grew up listening to Pakistani, Indian, and American music and still do. Along with those cultures, I recently developed a taste in South Korean music. However, I have never thought about how my musical home and the music culture I grew up in influenced my music preferences. My tastes in music cannot be labeled as one certain thing. My iPod is filled with music of many different genres and cultures. If I were to break down my music preference, there are generally three aspects that influence how I resonate with music: the vocalization, the instruments, and the lyrics (if any). Apart from those aspects, songs that express a certain emotion or story clearly appeal to me.
As a child, I thought my relationship with my father was like the ones in movies. My father and I have always been rather close, and I have always looked up to him. It was to the point that I, as a child, was the typical “Daddy’s Girl”.My father has always been my favorite person. He has also been my biggest influencer in my life. He has been my biggest supporter, my greatest role model, and has been the best teacher.
