Pass like your life depends on it, set like it 's the last thing you`ll do, and hit like someone you hate is on the other side of the net. Volleyball is one of five parts of my life. The first time I played was in the 3rd grade. Can you imagine that? Little tiny 3rd grade me getting ready for my very first game. I was very nervous and excited to play. I put on my jersey that read pass it, set it crush it. Then I put on my knee pads and tennis shoes. I pulled my hair into a ponytail. Finally, I filled up my water bottle and waited to go. In 3rd grade or rec volleyball you don 't have specific positions. You rotate all the way through the six rotations and when you lose the point when you are serving, you go into serve receive. Once you win …show more content…
I yelled “Mine!” and passed it over the net. The ball lands on the other side and we rotate. I run off the court and Jaden comes on. Avery Norman goes back to serve and foot faults. We all say “that 's ok.” and go back to serve receive. The other team goes back to serve. They miss the serve, Linden Herman comes on the court and Molly Carr come off. I give her a high five and say “good job!”
She replies “thanks! you too!” Belle Bonn serves and aces the other team. Everyone goes and high fives her. She serves again and the other team passes it over. Linden tries to pass it but it goes in the net. The other team goes to serve and the referee blows the whistle and calls a foot fault.
Jaden`s mom yells “two more points ladies” Avery Kuehl goes to serve. Avery aces the other team! We all run and jump and give her a high five. I yelled “One more point!” Avery went back to serve. The ball went over the net, one girl yelled “Mine!” and passed it over the net. I jumped an passed it over, but the ball went out of bounds. My mom said “don 't jump when you pass, stay low and use your legs.”
I said “ok” and nodded my head and went to serve receive. The other team went back to serve. The ball went over the net and Linden passed it over saying “mine!” the ball went back over and the other team passed it back over and Jaden passed it back over. The ball landed on the other side of the net. We have won the game! We wall went to the net and shook hands with the other
Four minutes later 13 scored to make it four to three. The cheers of the crowd echoed in the arena. Then we went 10 minutes without scoring. With 5 minutes left. I skated around the defensmen went to my forehand, backhand. Score! It was four to four. Now it was tied.
Its “Hockey time” as the players get ready to hit the ice -the suspense builds. Once the players hit the ice the crowd yells “Let’s go belleville!” As the referee drops the puck and it hits the ice the action begins. You see the other team trying to pressure the puck your way. Then number 87 Tyler Connolly steals the puck and takes it down towards the opposing team to where he passes it to number 11 Dylan Connolly passes it back to the middle for number 87 Tyler Connolly to slap the shot it into the goal. It’s now 5 to 5 they just need two more points to go to victory, as the puck hits the ground the crowd goes wild, when the opposing team takes the puck and heads down the ice towards the goal where number 52 Evan Johnson is waiting to save the puck from going in. As number 32 from the opposing team comes in hard,
There's fifteen seconds left in the game, and we're down one. It’s summer league game, but there is a large crowd of red and black screaming their support. The crowd is nervously sitting on the edge of their seats, waiting to see the outcome. The tall, player from the other team, with sweaty hair matted to her forehead shoots the ball, and it clangs off of the rim into Brooke's awaiting hands. With lightening speed the orange ball hits Ally's open hands before finally landing in mine. I pound the bright ball up the floor and towards the waiting basket. Planting my right foot I push off the ground for a layup. As my body connects with the opposing player, knee to knee, I hear the high-pitched sound of the referee's whistle. With a sickening
Lastly, it comes with our final pair of players: Gina Fitzpatrick and Shea Wise, a female volleyball player challenging a manpower. Shea takes the first shot, at the farthest location, he drains all of his energy and strength, then uses his right arm to throw in order to protect his dignity as a male. Sadly, not today. Then here comes our challenger Gina, she plays volleyball, so she is confident that she can win for her team, she tries to use some professional techniques, then throws, but it doesn’t go in either.
Seconds later the ref blew the whistle. My team had won the game! Everybody was elated that I scored, except for Bob, who complained that I had been selfish. We fought like cat and dog, but everybody backed me, because I was the one who scored. A wise man knows when to retreat, and as frustrated as he was, Bob wasn’t stupid.
All I hear is Kris Jenkins say “Ryan, throw me the ball.” My mom “ take it Jenkins, three for the win!” The ball is released from Kris Jenkin’s hands with 1 second left on the clock.

Agnes Morley was not a girly girl. She grew up working on her families ranch. Agnes was sent to Stanford University by her mother by her mother in hopes it would make her more lady like. Instead she picked up playing basketball, which turned out to be more than a hobby. Agnes didn’t like that basketball was a mens sport. She was now preparing for the first ever college women basketball game. More than five hundred women showed up for the game. The game was about to begin and Agnes was feeling the pressure. She was the guard and the women on the other team were much bigger than her. The game begins! It began rough, everyone falling on top of each other. They make the first point but miss the second and knock the basket sideways. The
With a final shot Racer tossed the ball. The boys watched as it rolled around the rim and into the net. “Game!” Racer Screamed as he fell on the floor in a sweaty heat.
High volumes of laugher and cheering filled the court as the crowd stands up working wild. The audience got up to start chanting for their favorite teams. The beginning of the game the referees treads towards the center of the court, blows his whistle alerting the teams for the tip off. The opposing team starting the game off with a mega alley-oop scoring the first two points of the game. Going up! I always had my teachers, parents and even close friends of mine always concerned or asking me this million-dollar question. Kristoff, what you want to be in life? What motivates you? The same two questions constantly on repeat in the back of my head.
She past me the ball, I took a jump stop and my left knee turned inward to my right knee. My knee turned so bad that the left one touched the right one making a popping sound. I fell to the court in pain while the tears mixed with sweat. The coaches had to call for an ambulance to take me to Cook’s Children Hospital.
As the referee blew the whistle, it was game time! My teammate were on her tip toes already in motion to jump, she jumped and smacked the ball before the other opponent could even get a chance to jump! The ball came my way and I dribbled the ball three times, crossed doubled between my legs two times, I lingered up, did the Lebron James basketball shake before I took my shot and put up
To play volleyball you must know the basics and be able to master them. You have to be willing to put in the practice and get along with your teammates no matter what.
He said later: “I thought she said something like, ‘Pull your head in.’ She started laughing. I didn’t really find it funny. It’s easy when you’re just sitting there and you’re just watching, when you’ve got no experience at all on the court.”
Then she runs off the court crying “MOMMY! MOMMY! I CAN’T DO IT! I JUST CAN’T!”So we did what a normal family would do, they ran out of the bleachers to go and fetch
