When looking over my behavior the past few days, I noticed quite a few things I would like to change. From extending my workout period, eating smaller portions, or even controlling the amount of time I spend watching television. Even after all of those things the main thing I noticed was that I hardly ever drink water. In a day, I might drink sixteen ounces compared to the recommended sixty-four ounces. So my new goal is beginning on Friday, July 10, 2015 and ending on Friday, August 7, 2015, and I will increase my water intake to at least 60 ounces a day, and will use water bottles to measure my success. My goal is specific, because I want to drink at least sixty ounces of water and I also want to use water bottles as my measuring tool. My goal is measurable, because I have a set number of ounces to accomplish every day. The action-oriented side of my goal is the basic fact that I am taking the plunge, and increasing my water intake to help my health. The goal I set is realistic for me, because I can get water anywhere, even if I have to go away somewhere, water is always available. Having a start date and an end date provides a time-oriented goal, because I have that amount of time to work towards my goal. Another side to the time-oriented portion of my goal is that I only have twenty-four hours in a day to finish at least sixty ounces of water. One thing I can see as an interference for my goal is the fact that I have a busy work schedule. With that schedule I am
Having 8 glasses of water everyday turned out to be more of a challenge then I initially thought! This was the goal where I did
In everyday life many people develop habits, but it is never too late to attempt to change that bad habit to live a healthier life. For this behavioral change project, I was asked to choose a health behavior that I would like to change for the better. So, I decided that I wanted to increase the amount of water I was consuming each day. The standard recommendation on how much water an individual should consume is about 64 ounces daily. However how much a person should drink is more individualized then one might assume. Therefore, for this particular project my goal was to at least consume 64 ounces of water daily as a baseline starting point. I also had to consider days when I worked out. So, I decided that I would attempt to increase that amount
My long-term goal with my college education is to complete my Bachelor's degree and eventually continue on to receive my Master’s degree in criminal justice. The first step to complete my long-term goal is receiving my Associate’s degree in criminal justice by May 2017. This goal is specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely.
Drawing characters, backgrounds, rims, cars, or trucks spends most of my pastime. In addition to drawing, I would also like to partake classes in Animation. Art directors earned $56,880 in 2000, and the highest 10% made more than $109,440 dollars. Artist work about 40 hours a week, but during busy periods, they work overtime to meet deadlines.
By using the guidelines of my short-term goal to meet my long-term goal, I was able to almost completely accomplish and
I choose my short term goal to be drinking less soda and more water. I hate how bland water is and so I don't drink much of it. Instead I usually drink soda, apple juice, and hot chocolate. The reason I have chosen that specific goal is because I know how nutritional water can be and I want to become a more healthier person. I can moniter my progress by keeping and writing in a drink diary. Lots of people have food diary, where they keep track of what they have ate, so there's no reason I can't do that but instead with drinks.
I want to continue doing all of my goals I chose. Also, I’d like to add eating at least one vegetable and one fruit a day. I think if I added this to my list I would notice to feel different, particularly healthier. The hardest goal was trying to stop eating after eight. Overall I was successful with my goals. Every day I would incorporate my goals in my daily activities. I found it easier when I was with someone else. I spent most of my goals with my sister. I learned that if you have someone to do your goals with whether it’s a family member or a friend you have lot more
I have two goals that I find imperative to achieve within the next few years; in addition, I feel that these two goals are obtainable, but in no way whatsoever will the goals be easy to achieve. My first goal is earning an associates degree in computer science, and my second goal is to lose weight and get back into a healthy lifestyle. Both of my goals are important, but the most important goal of mine is earning an associates degree; even so, the second goal of mine is still paramount to my objectives. Both goals will be crucial to my life for years.
My goal is Timely. I will achieve my goal before I graduate in 2019. I can go to activities and complete traditions in order to reach the goal. I will be able to notice progress by seeing check marks accumulate. My only milestone is halfway, when I get there I am going to buy myself a bottle of chocolate milk and a movie ticket to a new movie. I will then proceed to celebrate my halfway point. My ending celebration will consist of a lord of the rings marathon or something similar, which is a 24 hour commitment.
I deeply believe that making goals is something that all people should try and do for themselves. Thinking more about my decisions is a goal that can help me greatly. Also, watching after my younger brothers and helping my mom will impact my self and the people around me. Lastly, and most importantly, eating three times a day and staying hydrated will help me a lot. Setting goals is a very helpful thing to do for
There have been many experiences in my life that affect the way my goals are fashioned and
As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy-tale like, we tend to see life through a rose-colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.
The future is a time or a period of time in which we follow through from the moment of speaking or writing our intentions. It is a time that has yet still to come. The future is what we work for, to go through school and have a career, in order to have a better life. My parents have taught me to work hard for the things I want, and I wish to have a bright future. That is one of the reasons why I am here at CI, to get an education that will help me find a career with sufficient salary that will support me and my future family.
My whole life I have always wanted to become a successful engineer, and graduate from the University of Cincinnati. Some of my goals in life are to go to the University of Cincinnati. Another one of my goals is to become some type of engineer. But as of right now I would like to be a aerospace engineer. To be honest I really don’t know what influenced me to want to become and engineer. But something about engineering always appealed to me for some reason. But lately my engineering teacher has had a positive impact on me and is really making me like engineering and the overall field. So I guess that Mr. Smith has influenced me into being an engineer. My plan b is to be an engineer too. But this type of engineering would just be easier to
“Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into visible” -said Tony Robbins, author and life coach. Everyone has challenges throughout their life, but people have strengths that can lead up to effect their future. We use our goals to keep us motivated and our strengths to help us get past the challenges we face. Our weaknesses fade because our strengths become so strong and we are faced with new challenges. With each challenge we overcome we become stronger and we find more strengths in our challenges. I am a great friend because I always care for my friends and i'm their shoulder to cry on. I'm a very strong-willed person because I don't give up on something I want easily. I’m stubborn because I
