He is a hero without powers. In my eyes, my hero has lived a prosperous lifestyle. He has a jovial wife and 2 strong-minded boys who have astronomical amounts of respect for him. He has a job where a degree would only mean the amount of hard work you put in. His salary is based on success and non-stop on the clock hours. He’s my provider. The man who puts the food on the dinner table every single night. He’s not only my hero, but my leader, the one who I have followed my entire life. When I was young, he was there for me in many ways that I had yet to realize at such a small-numbered age. He was there for every church-league basketball game. Afterwards, he would always be waiting for me, handing me a savory fruit-punch Gatorade, always knowing

Fans of superhero-movie franchise and comics will definitely want to pick up Sarah Kuhn's Heroine Complex series. The second book, Heroine Worship, released last month. The story follows Annie Chang who's best known as Aveda Jupiter.
Sometimes the worst events will bring out the best in people. After Hurricane Harvey roared ashore, it was clear that the hurricane had made an impact in the most horrific way. However, ordinary heroes have emerged from the devastation to help those affected by Harvey with whatever means they could.
A hero's place in society has remained relatively consistent since the very beginning of time. Throughout the years, people have seen many different versions of larger-than-life heroes, who have completed seemingly impossible tasks and persevered through immense adversity. The common denominator between all of these heroes has always been that each and every one of these beings has put his/her own life in danger and fought great battles in the pursuit of a better life for mankind as a whole.
As we grow up throughout life, we hold onto many heroes as they have impacted our life. Looking into my personal life, my hero consists of my mother, Darla Linden. She defined a hero as “a person stepping up in a situation without thinking they also are in harm 's way”(Linden, Darla). Throughout my lifetime my mom has been there for me since day one and has helped nurtured me.. She sacrifices many things for myself and for my family by providing us with our daily needs. I can always count on her to point me in the right direction by pursuing my dreams and wishes. I admire her caring heart and faithfulness the most because she would drop anything instantly to help someone else in need. She supports me in all of my extra curricular activities and motivates myself to bring out my full potential. I get inspired by her courageous character by never backing down to a challenge and always finishing through. When I asked my mom who she picked as her hero she said, “the service men and women of all branches who fight for our country”(Linden, Darla). They provide us with safety by sacrificing
Hero’s always have a desire, sometimes they know exactly what they want, but other times it turns out to be serendipitous. Some examples of where heroes are driven by desire include the movie Thor directed by Kenneth Branagh, Around the World in Eighty Days written by Jules Verne, and The Odyssey written by Homer. In all of these pieces desire motivates and changes the hero throughout the story. In literature the role of the hero is fueled by the desire of going home, but then changes for a different kind of home.
“A hero is someone who voluntarily walks into the unknown” Tom Hanks said. I too agree with him that heroes are important. Whether it is firefighter or a soldier, they both are needed in our lives. To be considered a good hero you must be confident, careful, and cooperative.
Do you know what it’s like to be a hero? A hero to you may be the superman in a comic book that saves the girl from the bad guy. Or a hero can be someone that fought for what they believed in. A hero can really just be the one main character in a story or in real life that makes an effort to make everything right and helps everyone. If you’ve ever met a hero like a soldier, a role model, or an important person in your life you know that a hero is one that is noble and does the right things to help others not only there selves.
I think the student council's plan to elect a hero of the month is a great idea for several reasons. It will encourage positive actions, increase awareness of the good things students do, and give students an opportunity to work with school leaders.
A true hero is not only identified and admired by his name and his financial status. He is loved and praised by the people through his great
One person’s hero might seem equivalent to an another ordinary person to another. My father might not be world famous, but to me he’s just as much of a hero to me than any one of those people. Every day he works to ensure sure that I have an opportunity to succeed in life, have a peaceful life, and be able to grow as a person.
Like most human beings on this planet if ours I was born and raised by some other human. Most call them parents but depending on the situation it could be an aunt or even a total stranger. Whoever they are this person is crucial to your survival when you’re immature enough to care for yourself. A hero is someone that impacts your existence more than the many other strangers that shaped the world before you can. A hero exists currently in this time and place teaching you, caring, and sharing wisdom. Be it your grandmother, father, teacher, or best friend. Hero’s shape your personality and give you the tools needed to carve your future from stone.
My hero is part of my big family. He or she might be the one of the most highly respected members of the family. But the thing that makes this person my hero is, because, not
Everyday heroes are people that do little things to benefit other people or the community. We think that Mrs.Edmundson and Mrs.Hicks, the counselors at our school, are great examples of an everyday hero. Mrs.Edmundson created the Reach Team which is a program that allows kids in middle school the opportunity to Reach out to their community and interact with other people of varying ages. After Mrs.Edmundson created this amazing program Mrs.Hicks volunteered her time to help develop and make the Team better.
My whole life he comforted me. Not comforting me like a child cuddling with their favorite stuffed animal during a thunderstorm, no. I was the variety to look out of the window to see the storm, and I still am, but that’s beside the point. He comforted me during the challenging, saddening times in my life. But nothing, absolutely nothing, was as emotional and difficult as it was leaving home.
