My Hero's Short Story: The New House

It was another average school night and the red letters on my alarm clock read midnight. My tired eyes stared at the blank word document on the laptop, my mind devoid of ideas. The prompt for this week’s creative writing essay was about bizarre situations. Usually, my mind would be overflowing with ideas like a river, and I would get the assignment done on the first day. Three days passed, and I still had no ideas. I was officially afflicted with the notorious writer’s block I had heard so much of. There was this feeling of having an empty void in my mind, and having uncertainty over what to write next, whether it is over the prompt or the next words. Closing the laptop in defeat and accepting the reality that I would receive a failing grade for the paper, I shut the laptop and trudged over to my bed and dove under the covers. One morning, i was in 6th grade, my sister and I wake up, and we are home alone. We heard large noises on the porch. We went to go peek through the curtain, and there was a man lying on our porch. I called the neighbors, and we both hopped the fence and they let us in. The cops had then been called, while the stranger was still on our porch. The cops arrive and get the stranger and his information. The following day, we found out the man was on probation. The significance of this day, was the neighbors, that we are good friends with, helped us out in the moment of panic, and my sister and I not knowing what to do. Transformation that created fear of this day, was when we were home alone getting ready for school around 10:30, and then having a stranger at my doorstep. Also, not knowing what to do at that one moment of panic at time.

After papa died, Mama, Esperanza, Abuelita were in shock. They lived without saying any word or talking until they ran out of money for livestock.Then soon, Hortensia, Miguel, and Alfonso decided to move to urban areas to get a job to live. I didn't always live in California. Before California I lived in Denver, Colorado. Before Denver I lived in Aurora, Colorado. When we moved to california we had a family of five. We moved to California, when I was six, Then we lived at my grandma’s house in Riverside for a year. We found a place on Ferree Street and that became our home.

“Oh, there you are” her mother would reply Jordan would giggle, then run back out the back door with no shoes on. For a few days Jordan came inside the house limping on one foot, crying to her mother, “Mommy, I got cactus stuck in my foot” her mother would sit there with tweezers, pulling out each spine from the heel of her foot Jordan flinching each time she yanked one out. As soon as her mother was done, she'd look at her mother thankful she could help her, but still a tear still rolled down her face onto the floor from the surging pain now in her foot. One day, Jordan opened her eyes, she looked out the door and found her mother to be in the yard digging up cactus in the yard. Jordan made sure to put on some shoes and ran outside hiding around the corner of the house. Her mother saw her peeking around the corner of her house and said “Jordan, do you want to come help me?” Jordan smiled disappearing back around the house. She ran around the other side of the house trying to make her mother to jump. Kristina would giggle and say “Get over here you little turd” Jordan would run up to her mother, hug her, then look up at her saying “I love you mom” as her mother looked down

The date was 2035 and in space far away there was a purple and red Mothership. Aliens work here building robots. These robots are sent across the galaxy to different planets. There they are to study any life forms that may exist. Right now they are making two new subjects known as Devotion 1325 and his brother Jorge 1324 who were built and sent down to Earth. Dave is skinny and tall and is green and orange. Jorge is blue and red and small but strong. They are now getting ready so they may leave their room and board a rocket. The rocket will send them to Earth. “Are you excited to finally go to Earth after all our training and programing brother” asks Daveotron. “It's going to be so fun and beautiful” replies Jorge.

Emmeric smelled smoke. He had been enjoying his barley porridge during his break with his younger sister, Emelnie, when he realized something was wrong. Then melissa's eyes become sprinklers as she is crying and then she feels enraged .Melisa picks up a nail off the ground and shoves it into the spider's eyes.Then the spider eats melisa.Then the spider turns back into the ghost.It flies outside and jumps into chuck.The ghost controles chucks body and walks around and waits for someone to pick up the poor stray dog.A family of five drive by and feel sorry for the poor dog.They pick him up.They look at his collar and they read chuck.Then the ghost jumps into the driver and makes him wreck.The ghost still roams the streets to this very

At first, I wanted to do something creative- something that no group has done before. I suggested that we do a Pokémon, but then my group said that would be pretty difficult to create.
