I have many hobbies that I fill my time with. I enjoy reading. Ever since I was little my dad has called me a “voracious reader”. I am open to reading any kind of book, but I especially love realistic fiction, action adventure, and nonfiction. I also love playing sports. I did track for one year, softball for two years, gymnastics for three years, basketball for five years, and soccer my whole life as well as camps for tennis and swim. I find that playing sports has taught me many important skills including teamwork and reaching out to others as I’ve played with new people. These sports have also taught me the importance of staying healthy and fit. One of my other hobbies is music. I love music and find myself dabbling in piano and guitar whenever I have free time. I also play the trumpet and sing in my church choir. Lastly, I love baking and cooking. Although to my parents dismay sometimes (because they complain I’m making them fat) I always find myself gravitating to the kitchen and have acquired quite the collection of pans, sprinkles, food coloring, and other tools. My hobbies have taught me the importance of hard work and dedication and a love for trying new things.
My daily schedule includes a church class, school classes, and after school activities. I wake up every weekday morning at 5:46. I am one of those people who knows exactly how much time it takes me to get ready and wakes up at the precise time to be out the door when I need to be. After waking up I get ready
The buzzing sound I hear in my ear at 5:30 am 5 days a week signals me that it is time to wake up. I wake up early every morning before the sun rises to finish last minute homework assignments. At 6:30 I gather my things and I rush out the door to school. In every class I take notes, turn in assignments, and record assignments and due dates in my planner. Every spare minute between classes and at lunch are used to complete assignments that are due the next day so I will not have as much homework when I get home. As soon as the bell rings at 2:12, I rush out the door of the school and go straight to my car and zoom down the road because hockey starts at 3:00. Once in the locker room at the rink, I quickly put on my hockey gear and I am on the ice by
Writing is not just marking letters, words, or symbols on a piece of work. My perspective states that writing is not just expressing yourself through words; in fact, it is mostly one’s expression; your emotions, thoughts, beliefs, etc. Correspondingly, according to myself, writing is extremely artistic and evocative way to reveal one self’s personality. Most important, I am in the creative writing class, because I desired to be in it, due to the fact that it is my passion, it is a way I can express myself thoroughly, and it makes me feel as if I am in a whole different world where I can reveal everything I desire.
Two of my hobbies include golf and film and finance. As captain of the varsity golf team, I take golf very seriously. Not only is golf fun and important for my motor skills, it’s very important in the business world. There’s an old saying that 80% of business gets done on the golf course, and I can see why this is true. On the golf course you feel relaxed, all you’re worried about is how you’re playing and what club you’re going to use for your next shot. Film, has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. If I had the choice, I would sit in bed all day and watch film after film. I find film to be an incredible art form as it lets all different kinds of artists; directors, actors and cinematographers display their art form in one piece. Finally, Finance is something that I’ve learned form my father, it is an art in itself as those who can correctly read trends and wait to buy and sell are the grandmasters of the trade. Finance is something I want to do in the future and something that I find incredibly fascinating. Finally my personally traits are those of someone who is funny but can be serious when the time comes. I am very dedicated to my schoolwork and always strive to give my 100%. But, when its time to let lose, I am hands
I am a health nut who lives a busy life! I'm a marketing professional so every morning I wake up early for my typical 8-5 job which is packed with meetings, emails and the occasional travel. Over lunch, I try to grab a workout class. In the evenings, you can find me coaching my volleyball team for several hours...which puts me normally arriving home after 10pm.
However, when I think about my interests more, I realize that I have an extremely diverse group of favorite activities. I love to sing. I love pretending my pen is a microphone is just singing as loud as I possibly can when I’m home alone. In middle school, I was in three major theater productions. I’ve been taking piano lessons since I was six and I love it. I like to help people that need it. I am in SADD, LaSallian Youth, and Best Buddies at LaSalle. I also am doing a project outside of school that involves helping the San Miguel School for boys. Although I am absolutely horrible at it, I like to draw. Over the summer, I love going to the beach in the early morning and pretending I am the next Van Gogh. I love to cook. I like to experiment with different foods. For about six summers, I went to a week long cooking camp at Johnson & Wales and loved every second of it. Writing has been a strong passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I used write books and send them into a little book publishing company just to get them bound so I could feel like a real author. Today, I still love to write. I use it as more of a therapy rather than an activity like I did when I was younger. My deepest desire in life is to travel the world and write while I do it. I want to share my experiences with others and give them the sae hope to travel that I have now. I
When I wake up and out of bed, it is usually at around 7:30am. Occasionally it is a few minutes later than that, but that is the time that I aim for. Then I attempt to have the puppy taken care of and breakfast eaten by 8:30am. Occasionally I turn on my tablet and play on it for a short while but not for too long, usually around 30 minutes or so. By 9:00am, I turn on the shower and try to take an hour to do everything that I need to do to be ready for the day. 10:00am cones by and then it’s time for the puppy and I to go outside for about 10 minutes to walk around the yard and let her potty if she needs to. Afterwards, we are back inside to take care of a few things such as getting a drink and giving her rewards if necessary and then we go upstairs to my room to begin on any college work for the day. I tend to try and work on school from 10:30am to around 2:00pm, which gives me enough time to complete a lesson or two each day. Lunch comes after which I take about 30 minutes to fix something and eat, then I start reading the list of chores to do for the day. From 2:30pm is when I begin the chores and the amount of time it takes to do them varies, so one day it could only take 30 minutes while another day could take nearly 2 hours to finish everything. Despite the amount of time the chores take, I attempt to leave 4:00pm to 6:00pm dedicated to practicing my bass. Usually it’s to practice a couple of songs I’m trying to learn at that time. When my mom is home and cooks dinner, at times dinner is ready during this time in which I usually cut practicing time short. Whether or not dinner is ready and we are eating, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm I am on my laptop usually watching videos on YouTube. Every once in a while it takes longer than an hour depending on when dinner happens and the amount of videos I watch for that day. After all of
Between the ages of 6 and 12 I wanted to purse a variety of careers. I can always remember wanting to be a dancer and a singer. I believed both occupations were a strong possibility for me because I knew I had a good voice and even better dance skills. My dance teachers, as well as numerous family members, always complimented my choreography, my passion, and my skill for dance. Also, I always sang at family functions and events and I enjoyed all the compliments I received. At some point I took a liking to teaching because I loved school so much. I often played “school” by myself, as I enjoyed creating assignments.
Ever since i was a little boy, I was into sports. I love to run, exercise, and work out. I have play'd sports for about 10 years but I only have 5 trophies and 6 medals. I have play'd soccer, track,ty kwon do,basket ball, swimming, and cross country. Most of the sports that I play'd in was in middle school. I was one of the most athletic kid in the whole school. Middle school introduced me into ty kwon do,track, and cross county. I was not the fastest person in the group, but I was sure one of the most hard working kid out of the
Throughout my Jr. High and High School career, I've had many pastimes and hobbies that I found I could participate in outside of the classroom for. During the seventh grade and all the way until my sophomore year of High School I participated in basketball. From the seventh grade until my senior year of high school I participated in cross-country. In Middle School I participated in wrestling, and most recently I have partaken in soccer for my junior and senior year of High School. Besides sports I spent a good amount of time dedicating myself to volunteer for the local parks and rec center. I volunteered on projects such as the Annual Triathlon, the Haunted House, and many more. I also volunteered for the local Clinic during their annual 5K Color Run.
I play fly half and outside center in rugby. I perform both on and behind the stage in theatre. I am in both concert and marching band for my school. I am lead engineer on my school’s battlebots team. As a hobby I also build and paint model airplanes as well as figurines. One might be scratching their head in wonder thinking, “how can it be possible for these clubs, which are so different, yet still be related?” I thought the same thing until my dad revealed to me the truth about my scholastic endeavors. As I continue to participate in these events, I pick up little tips, tricks, and skills that I can use in both everyday life and in the future. For instance, to win in a game of rugby in need to work with my team as a well oiled machine, and that fact remains true in theatre, band, choir, and robotics. When I build and paint my models I have to be very precise, detail oriented, and meticulous, and as lead engineer working on a battlebot I need to use those very skills to make sure that our team’s bot will not fail when it is in a match. All these different groups and activities that give me skills, experiences, and opportunities that work together to both mold me into the person I am today and create a better future for
I get up everyday at 7 am, I always have breakfast before shower or I walk like a zombie. I go to work at 12:30 pm. I've been working as a teacher for 7 years now. In the afternoon, I read my emails, teach English. My day finishes at 9:30 pm. I get home at 10:00 pm, have dinner and go to bed at 12:00 am
At the start of every morning most people begin to plan their day accordingly based off the amount of work they have to do. To narrow it down it is a to-do list of the most imperative chores, swarmed with work and responsibilities. Students tend to have hectic days teemed with the responsibilities they have to do, especially if they are involved in after-school clubs or athletic teams. A typical day is when they wake up promptly to catch their bus or ride to arrive at school at an earlier time; 7:30. Go through their school day getting all their assignments they have to get done for the next day, yet for some still make time accordingly for their after-school priorities. After successfully finishing all the responsibilities, a student needs to prioritize their time for homework and studying. Time goes by profusely within the blink of an eye. As a college student my perspective stands extremely steady, continue arriving to school at the early hour, 7:30 am, so that a student can learn responsibility, time management and stay proactive.
Morning happens and I wake up at exactly at 5:12 am; just one minute before the alarm. I have been literally doing that all my life. I get ready and later wait for the bus from 7:00 am even though the suggested time to wait for the bus is 7:20 and the bus arrives at 7:30! I am told by my family members and friends that I am compulsive, I can be described as a person who lives the military lifestyle even though I do not know anyone who serves in the military. It just comes naturally. I start my school day with a positive attitude even though my surroundings are filled with depressing situations (my mom’s struggle, violence at school, disruptive students). I try to learn something new every day at school, I ask questions, I am curious. Bell
My parents tell me that as a baby, I was mesmerized by classical music, so before I could even walk, they bought me a tiny children’s toy piano. When I was a toddler, I enjoyed stacking high towers of wooden blocks and assembling complex puzzles, which my parents discovered is a form of early math. As I got a little older, I loved to tumble and swing from things, so I tried boys gymnastics classes. As a middle schooler, I tried cross country and basketball, still searching for an athletic. While I love to watch sports and play them for fun, my gifts aren’t athletic. As a high schooler, I finally realize that I have many gifts. My memory comes in very handy when studying for a test and being able to recall a lot of that information under the pressure of a big exam. Advanced math is not as challenging for me as it is for some of my friends. I love building things, and engineering in general.
A hobby is something that you enjoy doing in your spare time. It is an interest, a recreation or activity that you spend time on for pleasure and for relaxation.
