My Writing Experience

All throughout my years of schooling, I’ve had just about, one paper that was about one page long, due every year. My papers never had to be more than one page in length. Therefore, I did not have to do much writing or do many essays. Surely not enough to remember any of the assignments. Writing has never been something I enjoyed doing, so I never bothered to many any memories of my writing experiences. I did not think it was necessary to remember any of them since I only had to do them to get a grade. The only writing experience I remember was the first assignment I had in this English 100 class about a writing experience. All week long, I sat there thinking about what to write about, but nothing came to mind as a topic. Then, one thing came to mind, but it was so very vague, I could not write the length that was needed for the assignment. I could only think of a few sentences to write for it. After sitting for a few moments longer, I thought, how about I write about how difficult it was for me to write this essay before it was due.

When I was in fifth grade, I always believed I was not a writer. Math and science I understood decently but when it came to writing I was blank. For my fifth grade star test, I barely passed with a three on the writing portions and I always found telling stories on paper as dull and annoying in a way. I could never get what I was thinking into my paper, it always got lost somehow in the translation to thought and left me unsatisfied with what I wrote.

Throughout my experiences as a writer, I would say the issue I have faced the most is being well-organized. While writing essays I can begin to write on a topic but it gets difficult for me as I start to discuss or argue on my topic which can cause confusion to readers as they read my writings. It is a setback that I have adapted into my style of writing and has needed improvement in order to have a strong structured foundation academically. Over the past years as I encountered different perspectives from teachers that have led me to incorporate their style of writing that I have adjust to my own. Though I may have my difficulties, my ideas can be great but the lack of knowledge I have organizing my paper it has created a foundation that is not

The inevitable had happened; I, as a small child, was demanded to read. A little antisocial human being launched into a world of, at first, difficult words and lengthy phrases. While words and literacy were forced into my mind, I had reluctantly begun the adventure to enjoy and accept the art of literature. Later however, my hopes and dreams were crushed to pieces by a gruesome teacher with an interesting form of a so called “grading policy.”

I walk into my bright, and decorative bedroom after a long, and tiring day of school. Turning on the lights, I steer towards my dresser set to retrieve my previously sharpened pencil and partially filled notebook. I find myself sitting on my fuschia papasan chair. With my notebook in my hand, I slowly open it to reveal a fresh clean sheet of paper. With peace and inspiration filling my mind, body, and soul, I begin to fill its pages with tried attempts of poetry and eventful situations of my day. A smile forms onto my lips as I stare at it. Writing about myself and experiences was all I knew.

Can you consider myself to be a terrible writer? Most writers get inspiration from experiences, circumstance, or imaginations make a contribution in authors storyline. Each writers have their own style of writing since they all different messages, languages, and tone for the reader to actual take a position in the narrator’s writing. In a past even, when my grandfather is no longer with me, he has made a huge contribution in academic life.

At the beginning of the 2017-18 I had many writing oriented struggles that stopped me from writing to the best of my abilities. One of the many speed bumps I encountered was that I made bad choices when it came to the words I chose when writing my essays. During the course of the school year I have learned to improve the way I write papers by using better words. I have also learned that I should look up synonyms of words that don't fit or sound right in my essay to make everything sound better. The words I use in my essays also lack precision. I have improved on this by searching for the definition of words on the internet. If the original word in a sentence does not match my thought, I will look for a new word that matches the meaning that

I never really liked writing as a child, my handwriting did and still does resemble a drunken preschooler, I much preferred reading. That said, when I did start having to write more complex things, my vocabulary was picked exclusively from cartoons and hardy boy mysteries. Later into my teenage years, I started reading more philosophy and literature that, paired with a superstar tag team of very talented English teachers, made me really enjoy writing. I started looking forward to writing essays, especially persuasive essays, mostly to talk with people who didn't share my view. Moving forward, I don't think my enjoyment of writing will diminish for a long time, and I can see myself writing papers (mostly for Red rocks) for many years to come.

My desire to interact with people, understand their experiences, and express my views and ideas through writing, stems from childhood exposure to a wide variety of literature and cultures.

During my junior and senior year of high school at Leslie County I found a reason to enjoy writing and have fun with the thing I wrote. Every class until those years was either way too boring for me to pay attention, or the teachers really didn’t seem to care what you wrote down, they would just grade and move on it seemed. I never had a teacher who would actually look at what I wrote down and come speak to me about it, whether to praise the stuff I wrote down or to help me with small problems in my assignments. Expecting another failure of a class to sit through, I was already dreading English that day. I didn’t really know what this teacher was all about, then I met. Think about your experiences of writing at college. Which types of assignments have you found helpful in strengthening your writing skills? Where do you want to improve your writing? What’s the most useful advice you’re received that’s helped you improve your writing. Be as specific as possible.

My writing experience started, like for most kids, in elementary. At nineteen, I remember every little about the very beginning of my writing experience. However, I remember that I did well in my English classes. I loved to read and many people said that that is a factor for why I excelled in that class. Besides writing for school assignments, I wrote songs. During elementary, besides books, music was my escape from reality. Although music did not have as much of an impact as books on me, songs were pretty close, so I decided to write them. And I continued to do so until the sixth grade.

Writing is not an easy and flat road with wrinkles on the top that a person can just sit down and make a perfect professional essay after two or three hours writing or typing. It is a tough long process which needs a lot of skills, decisions and experiences, so do the time and good care for any steps from the brainstorming to editing and revision. I would say that reading and understanding combined together to make the art of writing. Being an amateur student who was so stressful about writing an essay, I used to make so many bad choices when having an articles to write. However, taking the Freshman Composition I has developed my writing skill effectively and provided the essential information which were definitely needed to enter my other courses. I believed that no writer is born excellent, even the writer who is gifted or talented has strengths and weaknesses, and I, myself, also cannot be out of that natural hook. Furthermore, recognizing what are my positive and negative qualities would help me in raising my level and do better on the next time.

I can’t say in black and white if I like writing, however, I enjoy connecting with people through art. My favorite medium is storytelling. Since I love to read, I assumed that must mean I love to write. Through the years, I have begun to think maybe I’m just a consumer.
