NASCAR is which a multibillion dollar industry they race 1500 races a year in 39 states and 100 tracks. NASCAR is the 2nd most watched sport in the United States. The major race series they are the sprint cup series, nationwide series, and the camping world truck series. NASCAR is the largest sanctioning body of stock car racing in the United States. NASCAR headquarters are located in Daytona Beach Florida. The temperance movement is what started the prohibition. The movement was mostly followed by women. Well in 1920 the prohibition was passed. Which made it illegal to sell, produce, import, or transport alcohol. One of the reasons why prohibition was passed because of the domestic violence that was occurring in this time. NASCAR was created in the backwoods from Virginia all the way to Georgia. So a bunch of good old boys started making this liquor called moonshine. Then they started loading it up in cars to transport there moonshine to sell. Then they started supping up their cars to run from the law. Plus to run from other moonshiners. The chosen car for moonshine transportation was small light and fast vehicle.
Well on December 5, 1933 the 21st amendment was passed ending prohibition. Not knowing what to do
