Coming back to New York felt like a dream, a lot had changed. I couldn't get over the fact that I had left 5 years ago to go stay with my grandparents to get my shit together, but now I owned a condo in upstate New York and had what every man wished he could have, money and power. But one thing I didn't have was love, I had left it when I moved. The girl was mostly a friend with benefits but I was starting to fall for her, I couldn't wait to see her again. I could remember us being us, chilling after our late night sexcapades, she'd lay in my arms and ask me all of these questions about where we would be when I got famous. She was the only one who ever had faith in me becoming something bigger than a city boy who sold dope on the corner. She also believed we would be more than what we were at the moment. …show more content…
He looked unimpressed but smiled quickly a second after. It had been about an hour into the party and Drake was outside by his lonesome sipping away on some henny. He heard someone open the door and he turned his head. It was? TT a familiar friends of Onika's his love who he left behind. His eyes perked up hoping to hear that Onika was here "So you just going to stare at me or give me a hug Aubrey ? Don't think that shit changed just because you're some big time record label owner. " TT said placing her hands on her hips TT was just the same as he remembered, attitude baring, beautiful full figure, dark brown eyes that matched her skin. An the wisdom of an old lady. There she was in one of his shirts he had been selling recently with the ovo owl attached to it. He put down the drink and headed over to TT where he gave her a big bear hug, and a big fat kiss on the cheek. "Wow, you still look good girl! How have you been ? Maybe you could tell me about.. you know" Drake said pulling out a seat for TT to take a
And I also remember the day, when my parents informed me that we were moving. The plan was to move out from the clustered city of New York, and shift into the suburban setting of New Jersey. As a young child, I was startled and not sure if I was ready to be able to commit and abstained the thought. The thought of leaving my friends and the place where I grew up in all my life, irked me emotionally. With a new city, came a new house and a new environment.
Now, I have moved all over the country, although this time was enormously different. I was there for four years and made some pretty talented friends forever and picked up skateboarding. I thought I was living life there it was the best.
The move to High Island was the one biggest thing that transformed my life. Moving is usually a dreadful thing, but for me it
New York is a state where there are big lights and lots of people and busy streets. I live in Brooklyn, New York and I was born here and I have lived here all my life. Personally, where I live I can walk to go get groceries that I need and everything is in walking distance. I take the public subway or the bus to get to school and there are many public schools here in Brooklyn, New York. There are delis and corner stores almost around every block. Here in Brooklyn, it is very noisy and busy. I am so used to the noise that I can sleep soundly even with all the noise that surrounds my house. Personally, I think that if I were not born here or was not a New Yorker, I would plan to move here when I get older.
“Hey, what are you doing.” Chloe said as she walked over to Kara on the track behind the school after school was over.
Roughly four years ago I moved to Buffalo with my mom and two sisters, best move ever. Before then I had lived in Rochester, or to be more specific, Brockport. My childhood house was big and gray. It had a huge yard and very long driveway. However, my house in Brockport is not my home. I call home my green and white Tudor styled Kenmore house. It has a small green yard and a short driveway. It has been the best part of my life because of all the opportunities that were missed out on when you live so far away. Here in Buffalo I have the opportunity to go the high school where my mom, aunts, grandma, cousins, and sisters all graduated from. For now my job is going to that high school, but the second I turn sixteen, I will be working as a cashier at the dashes down the street from my home, a little family tradition. The reason I moved though, is hands down the most awful thing to happen to me or that can happen to a little kid, like I was at the time.
I was devastated I didn't want to leave my friends and family. It was a big part in my life. I faced a lot of problems I didn't want to talk to anyone about how I felt after moving to Austin. Even when my parents asked me it made me think about going back in which resulted in missing my friends and family. But then few weeks later I started to go to school in which I made new friends.
When I was about 11 years old I moved to Canton Michigan from Las Vegas Nevada. It was a dramatic change in my life. Not only is it quite a distance from Nevada. But there was also a different outcome that were made from the people to the weather and not being able to see my dad anymore.
I felt that my parents dragged me to a place where I didn’t want to be. The three of us moved to NYC, and the first three months we were all compacted into one single bedroom, trying to start a new life. It was a drastic change from the way we lived back in Colombia, each having their own separate bedroom.
“It’s okay, same here, I like your shirt by the way,” I looked down to see that she had just complimented the same old Jonas Brothers shirt I’ve been wearing for 2 years now. “That’s my favorite band!”
I also made really good freinds at the new school i was going to that would be my friends for a long time and i was happy about that. Also i had a bunch of new things that i could do in jackson like skiing and new stores and biking that i could do now that i lived here.
“Thanks.” Samandriel said adverting his eyes away from hers. He didn’t mean to draw attention to himself.
On a day in which the sun was shining like a new fluorescent light bulb, I sat on a heated metal bench that was located in front of a large, stone fountain where a brace of ducks lingered, and I began to read Chasing Brooklyn.
“Well yeah” Taylor muttered with cold pizza in her mouth. The movie ended and we started to talk about boys like always.
When I moved to New York, it was like moving to an entirely different time. It seemed as I stepped into a time machine and ended up fifty years ahead.
