Simply being invited to become a member of the National Honor Society is a privilege. It’s not necessarily surprising to me that I was invited but rather gives me an exhilarating feeling. A part of me now knows that my sedulous efforts have finally paid off. Throughout my high school career so far I’ve exhibited the four pillars, which are scholarship, leadership, character, and service. This organization administers a plethora of opportunities that has an impact on the students and the lives of others especially. To be accepted into the National Honor Society would motivate me to contribute even more to not only our school but also the community.

We all know that the National Honor Society is focused on the four main points of character, service, scholarship, and last but not least leadership. I am asking that you take consideration of these four points in my very own life.

I am privileged to be one of the remarkable students qualified to join Eureka High School’s National Honor Society. I have been looking forward to applying to this organization as it provides influential help in our society. I would be privileged to join this distinguished association because it would provide me with opportunities to get involved in my community. As a hardworking, helpful, and friendly individual, I feel that I would make an auxiliary member to this organization. I demonstrate the qualities that are necessary to join this prestigious society, including leadership, character, scholarship, and service.

Thank you for your consideration of me as a candidate for the National Honor Society, it means a tremendous deal to me. I have worked extremely hard to earn my chance to become a member of the National Honor Society and this application resembles a small prize on the enduring path to success for me. I believe, as a member of the National Honor Society, I will be able to enhance my spirit of service and accomplish more service goals and projects. Although, I already have many leadership skills under my belt, I can only imagine the many more skills I will gain from being a member of the National Honor Society. I think I should be considered for a membership for the National Junior Honor Society or NJHS because I am a different individual with a dream. My dream is to fulfill my parents dream and make them proud. My parents have done so much for me and they deserve to be repaid. My parents want me to go to a good college and graduate

The National Honors Society allows students to be build and create traits that are essential in a successful adult. I truly believe that hold many of these traits and joining the National Honor Society will grant me the opportunity to expand on these traits and grow as a person. Thus far I have focus greatly on the scholarship aspect of NHS and have been dedicated to my academics. I have held my GPA above 4.0 and have always been devoted to maintaining that high level of academic success. Reaching my goal in becoming a member of the National Honor Society would give me a great sense of pride both academically and personally. As a person I have ambition, academic excellence, and great decision making skills to offer NHS. I have been striving to do my academic best for a chance to be in the NHS, I show this with my 3.5 GPA. The National Honor Society is based off four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character.

After doing some research on the National Honor Society, I learned that one must demonstrate the qualities of scholarship, leadership, character, and service in order to be considered for membership into the National Honor Society. Therefore, by showing that I possess each of these four qualities, I can contribute to Ocoee High School as a member of the National Honor Society.

Being chosen to be a candidate for a membership for the National Honor Society is such an honor to me. It shows that I have worked hard in all aspects of my life to show leadership, success, excellence and service, despite the many challenges I have faced along the way. It also proves to myself that I have worked hard to maintain my grades in ninth, tenth, and some of eleventh grade while maintaining a part time job, and volunteering at a barn in my hometown.

The National Honor Society (NHS) recognizes students who exhibit academic excellence, as well as students who display a variety of honorable traits which include upstanding character, leadership, and a willingness to serve. Being a part of the National Honor Society means that a person encompasses all of these qualities, as many of those characteristics complement each other. A person with upstanding character most likely has a passion for serving and also has the determination to succeed in an honest manner.
