NBA free agency is like Christmas shopping for teams’ general managers and owners. The NBA is a player’s league, catered to them like never before. League revenue is higher than ever — more than 100 NBA players made at least $10 million for the 2016-17 season — many players are overpaid for their actual worth and wield the power of choosing where to go in the new generation of the league. Ultimately, NBA free agency is bizarre.
