In the north and south of the United States, there are many differences in culture. The weather, the population, and the economy are a few. They both have the same language but are spoken in two different accents. You can always tell the difference between the two.
New York City is in the northern part of the United States and is considered the city that never sleeps. It is also known as “The Big Apple”. People are walking the streets, eating at restaurants and going to bars at all hours of the night. Tourist come to see the attractions and to go shopping. There are many ways of transportation: train, bus, cab, car, or walking. Public transportation is twenty four hours a day and seven days a week and is their main source of getting around town. Housing is mostly apartments or condos that are for rent. Most people do not own their own homes or own a vehicle, because they cannot afford it. The cost of living in New York City is more expensive than most popular cities. The rent for a one bedroom apartment is around 3,000 an month. Childcare is close to 2,000 an month. In order to maintain a comfortable lifestyle most New Yorkers make close to 7,000 dollars a month. The population is 8,537,673 as of 2016 and as many as 800 languages spoken there. People often keep to themselves and really have no time to get to know each other, because it is a fast pace environment. It has the largest foreign-born population in the world and 61 million tourists go there for vacation. The
