No kill shelters are the better option. The vast majority can and should be adopted into loving homes. No kill shelters are a revolution. About two million cats and dogs are killed every year no kill shelters would help this number decrease. Shelters that don’t kill would attract more volunteers which would bring more them more attention. More attention would increase adoption. When shelters have a no kill policy it helps their image.

Life should always take priority over convenience. No kill shelters would provide a solution to the numbers of animals that get killed/euthanized every year. People need to realize the kill count is continuing to go up without no kill shelters. No kill is a declaration.’ Increasingly, the practices of both humane societies and municipal animal control agencies are out of step with public sentiment. Today, most Americans hold the humane treatment of animals as a personal value, which is reflected in our laws, cultural practices, the proliferation of organizations founded for animal protection, increased per capita spending on animal care, and great advancements in veterinary medicine. Many are out to sleep with euthanasia. Only one out of ten dogs born will find a permanent home. Homeless animals outnumber homeless people 5 to 1. Many dogs are barely given a chance because of how they act towards other dogs. There should be more programs to rehabilitate dogs back into the real world. If they are rehabilitated they won’t be euthanized. Some euthanizations are reasonable. Like for example when the dog will not interact with humans without aggression even after some training to try to help. Also if the dog is sick and no longer comfortable living it is understandable to put them
