North And South Civil War Causes

Slavery makes people that are confident and people that think they can do anything, make them feel like they can't do anything and make them not confident.

In 1861, a Civil War broke out in the United States when the South declared their independence from the Union. There is a great amount of reasons that people can argue how the Civil War was started. However, what most people don’t understand, is that most of the events leading up to the Civil War were related to slavery. Slavery was the core of the North and South’s conflict, which led to a very vicious feud.

Many different issues upon the north and south caused the Civil War, but slavery was the main conflict. Due to slavery, different political beliefs and systems were created causing conflicts such as disagreements during Westward Expansion and the election of Lincoln. The Constitution tried to balance the inequalities with many compromises, yet failed.

By the time 1860 came by, the North and South had a deep rift between them. With several issues such as slavery, it divided them in two. The South became the confederacy the moment Abraham Lincoln was elected for President of the United States of America. The North became the Union because unlike the South, the North had not seceded from the United States. Abraham Lincoln’s election drew the southerners over the edge, and on top of that the Civil War broke out in April of 1861.

The causes of the Civil War were complex and have been controversial since the country began. Some causes include; states’ rights, economics, and slavery. The most recognizable and popular cause is slavery. The freeing of the slaves was an important moral issue at the time and one of the greatest causes of the civil war. "It was only by carefully avoiding the moral issue involved in slavery that Northerners and Southerners could meet on any common ground." (Goldston, 79). The time came in which our great country would finally address the moral issue of slavery. Although there are many different causes to the American Civil War, the main cause was slavery because other causes are rooted in the issue of slavery.

This whole war between the north and the south all started because of one thing. The South wanted slavery intact and the North wanted to keep the union together. Shortly after the civil war came to an end, there was still a problem that had to be dealt with. What would happen to the farms and cities. Not to mention, what would happen if slavery ended? What kind of life would slaves live? The north were the upper states of union. Also were the industrial section of the united states. On the other side, the south were the lower section of the union.Therefore, they were farmers and hard labor workers. They grew most of the food and other goods that go to the all of the united states. The south and the north had many differences between them. They

The Civil War was the most significant time in the history of America. The Civil War was to be thought as the shaping of the American individual. The northerners and the southerner’s views on this war were different. The northerners viewed it as a revolutionary war and the southerners viewed it as rebellion. The war started out due to the many differences between the northern and southern states. Between these two regions laid economic, social and political differences, with slavery being the main root of the differences. As the war ended it caused many social and economic changes. One huge change was the abolishment of slavery. Race relation and slave confusions were tearing up the country’s political and social architecture. I believe that the Civil War has changed the way we look at this world today because once the Civil War came to an end it abolished slavery.

The north and the Abraham Lincoln argues that the main reason for the civil war was the slavery, whereas, the South and the confederate state reasoned that the main causes of the war is the state 's right and also southerners claimed that they are being treated unfair on the federal tariff and taxes. The southerners wanted to secede from the Union and preserve their right and the northerners wanted to keep the Union from breaking as well as they want to abolish slavery. The Civil War, or the "War between the states," was fought on both moral and economic grounds. On the most unique and modern war the world have ever seen, the north won the civil war because of their regional advantages, population advantages, the better strategic approach towards war and the support from the president.

In the 1860s there was a war between the North and South otherwise known these two groups were known as the Union and the Confederates. This war was called the civil war, reasons of its occurrence may seem simple but there was complex reasoning that led to the occurence of the civil war. These events could include slavery, economic differences, and cultural differences. Ever since the Missouri Compromise of 1820 that’s when the America was divided between the North and the South. The North being free states, which means no slavery. The South being slave starts, which means slavery.

Why the Civil War was fought is a question that, to this day, is still not entirely clear. Many people say that the Civil War was fought over the issue of slavery, while others believe that the South seceding was the prominent issue. While slavery was the original issue that started the war, the secession of the Southern States is what mainly drove the Civil War. The reason the Southern States were fighting for secession was because the Northern States were not giving the South equal say and power in the government and were also threatening to take away the South’s way of life and primary beliefs. While many believe that the South did not have the right to secede the South did have the right to secede.

There were many different reasons why the Civil War happened. One of them was economic differences. The northern side of the United States is known for their many immigrants, industries, and large buildings and companies. The South was known for agriculture, slaves, and cotton. The Northern side was against slavery, but the southern states were pro-slaves. It was understandable that the north was against it, because they didn’t need the slaves,

Though the North and South were each fighting the war for their own reasons. The south was right and had solid reasons for fighting the war, southerners wanted to defend their homes, defend their culture, and defend their economy. They had a fighting spirit, but in the end were outnumbered by the volume of soldiers and military expertise.

Contrary to popular belief, the Civil War was mainly provoked by the North; through using the federal government to overtake the South, removing slavery which would destroy Southern economy, and creating the moral issue of slavery.
