For this informational I wanted to interview a nursing professional because I am interested to major in nursing. I tired to contract nurses in Hospitals and clinics but ended up at the student health services at valley. I conducted my Interview With Ms. Helen and he is a nurse practitioner. We sat down in her office for about 25 minutes and I asked her questions regarding her career.

Ever since I began nursing school in 2012 at the University of Texas At El Paso Texas, I dreamt of furthering my education to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. During my clinical rotations I received many exposures that showed me insight into the invaluable job Nurse Practitioners offered to their patients. Through my own personal experience having received care by nurse Practitioners has left me no doubt about my desire to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Coming from a medical family, it was written onto me at an early age. That health care and making people feel better is heartwarming and inspiring to me. One of the most influential people in my life is my mother, also a nurse herself. Having watched my mother helped so many people. I grew up knowing that there is no greater reward in life in helping people get better. My mom’s joy inspired me to become a nurse, with this same passion and care for the medical field. That's when I thought that I found my passion in nursing.

Being a daughter of a nurse practitioner has it perks. When my mother was obtaining her master’s degree in nursing science, she used me as her patient while giving me tips and little fun facts about the nursing field. I soon began to find that this is the kind of future I wanted. I wanted to help others, especially children, in such an imperative manner. I need to be able to quench my thirst for science and working on the hands on field, utilizing the skills I will be learning in school. I want to make a difference in this world. I want to be important and fulfill the purpose on why I was created. For me, this isn’t about the money or on bragging rights or even the title. It is about the people I get to encounter each and everyday by helping.

As we know Nursing is a field that required a lot of dedication, responsibility ,compassion. At the same time a nurse have to be open, determined, strong and caring. Nursing as a career seems to inspire a certain type of person. It has also called to me quite personally as a path that suits me. There are a lot of aspects of nursing that appeal to me, for a few reasons. The first being my interest in the scientific field, and the endless fascination I have with how our bodies make us who we as humans are, unique and impressive. The drive to purse nursing as a career stems from an innate passion for helping others. Helping, healing, and nurturing are all qualities that have grown and developed throughout my life, and have lead to Nursing. I have always had a caring and supportive spirit since I was young, volunteering whenever the opportunity arose in Senior Citizen Homes, Special Olympics, and with Anne Arundel Medical Center. Into my teenage years I realized how much of a difference could be made when working directly with people, which nurtured this interest into my college career.

I have always been intrigued in pursuing a career within the medical field. I entered college with the premeditation of pursuing pharmacy. Ultimately, I became aware that I was more interested in the biology of the human anatomy than the chemical aspect; thus, I switched my major over to nursing. Through various volunteering opportunities, I realize my passion lies within interacting and assisting individuals. This recognition further validates my career choice. In the near future, I hope to become a nurse who can provide care and assistance for people.

I am passionate about joining the nursing profession because of the skills I will learn that will be useful throughout my life. Throughout my life, I have been in awe of the work nurses do. The doctors get all the credit, but the nurses constantly work behind the scenes working directly with the patients. I want to expand my knowledge in the medical field and understand how science and medicine interact with humans. Even though the medical field is complex and difficult to comprehend, I am willing to learn more about it because of its importance to our daily lives. I want to be skilled and fully equipped to be able to succeed in my nursing profession.

I am writing in response to the advertisement posted in Indeed for the position of a casual licenced Practical nurse. I am a recent graduate from Vancouver Career College, I have just finished my preceptorship and am only in the process of applying for my interm licence before writing my licencing exam in may, but seeing this job posting and not applying would be a huge regret of mine.

As from an early age, I have had the desire to help others. I knew that I wanted to have a medical career where I can make a difference in people’s life by caring for them and improving their health. I soon came to realize the interest I had in nursing, and now I am inspired by educational as well as life experiences to accomplish that desire. I am eager to pursue a career within the nursing role, I have a positive attitude, a strong will to help others, and have self-awareness when under pressure. I am aware this career requires a lot of dedication and could be demanding, but I will maintain my motivation and determination to reach my true potential and work to the best of my ability to accomplish all the goals I have set.
