I need to take a moment and assess what is going on and what outcomes should occur. During each day at work, my self-confidence is building. I’m realizing that I do know more than I thought. I was a little apprehensive, in applying the knowledge.

A 2014 research study conducted by Debra C. Hairr, Helen Salisbury, Mark Johannson, and Nancy Redfern-Vance examine the relationships between nurse staffing, job satisfaction and nurse retention in an acute hospital environment. Nursing and positive work environment is an issue that I have encountered since I became a nurse in 2009. Maybe it’s always been an issue, but I do know that right after I became a nurse, healthcare took a downward spiral and I believe this plays a role in the work environment I see so much of today. The atmosphere of the workplace has an effect on every team member and patient.
