Bullying has been an issue in our schools for significant periods of time. As a teacher, I believe it is our responsibility to decrease this issue and to prevent it. There are many ways that a teacher could address bullying in the classroom. One way is by talking to the class about the issue, explaining that it hurts the victims feelings and it could lead to the victims death, making the bully feel responsible for the death of the victim for the rest of their life. The teacher could also expose videos from the victims point of view, of how they feel and how they see the bully. Having so many bullies in our schools, I belive is complicated to completely diminish the problem. Even though there are many obstacles in overcoeing bullying,it is not
Bullying is one of the hardest thing to work on and prevent in today’s world. In school there are about 28 percent of kids that are getting bullied. The ages are between 12-18 year old kids “(According to American society for the positive care of children). The bully’s pick on people that are smaller than them and cannot fight back. Bullying can be hard to prevent in todays would but with the right help and effective intervention and solutions that can be stopped. “Those who bully and harass stand in the way of learning and threaten the safety of our children” (preface to “What laws will best prevent cyber-crime”). The whole point in going to school is to learn not to be fighting with the other kids. Because bullying is caused by todays increased

And what are some methods?
The public school system has been governed by landmark cases and school law throughout history. One of the early cases was Brown v. Board of Education in 1954 where the Supreme Court declared it unconstitutional for states to have separate public schools for black and white students (Hubbard, 2014). Since 1954, the public school system has had a series of landmark cases which effect educational law such as Tinker v. Des Moines (1969), New Jersey vs. T.L.O. (1985), Hazelwood v. Kuhlmeier (1988), and Individuals with Disabilities Act (1990). The State and Supreme Courts have ruled on everything from Freedom of Speech to Special Education.
For some people school is fun, exciting and boring, but for others, it terrifying knowing that something may happen to them if they go to school. Bullying is one of the biggest problems, some schools has right now. But that, 'not the reason some people are supposed to not speak out when they see this type of things happening. Bullying is turning into a big situation in our community and it’s causing people to get depressed and even committing suicide.
A general problem that happens throughout the United States in schools, neighborhoods, and even in homes is bullying. Furthermore, a plausible cause for most school shootings is intimidation and is an intense public awareness. A bully-involved shooting at a high school in Littleton, CO, and other victims across America have in some cases resulted in suicide. All in all, bullying affects how the social setting in a school causes fear and thought provoking anti-civil attitude.
Although schools, agencies and pediatricians can do much at the community level to mitigate bullying and its effects, the problem is clearly societal in scope. Bullying cannot be stopped with a single intervention or by a single social agency. The use of violence to solve problems is repeatedly illustrated through television and other visual media. Many parents of bullies believe that it is appropriate for their children to learn how to compete in the schoolyard and do not see bullying as an issue (Feldman Hertz, Donato, & Wright, 2013). Too many children in our society are exposed to domestic violence directed towards parents and themselves. Too many children are born into adverse family situations, including low maternal age at the birth

There are countless issues that have risen from people being anonymous. Some of these issues like have led people to end their life. We bring up the issues and leave them floating in the air like pollen in the summer. We have to stop anonymity so our citizens can feel safe when they use the internet. If teachers would step in when they knew something was a problem or stand up for a student, then the bullying could be eliminated. Along with the help from the faculty and staff students can also intervene to make things better for everyone. No child should fear coming to school because of the way they look or something that is different about them. Just as is was stated in one of our lectures, students should feel as though school is a safe place that they can be. Safe schools are “in which every individual can pursue their education on their willingness to work, free of fear persecution, and stigma” (Green 2016, notes). If a serious no tolerance policy is put into place, then things like this will be eliminated. The clubs and organizations that can be created will help the individuals feel as though they have someone to turn to when something is going on. Not only that but someone else is on their side, that can mean so much in any situation. If there is someone that will help stand up for them then the bullying will eventually stop or people will become aware of it, which should lead to some type of punishment. Teachers should also not be afraid to go to administration if there is a problem. It should not be held against them. But the “power is in numbers”, so if they can get more people on their side then more is likely to be done (Green 2016, notes). If the teacher is worried that they do not know the whole story, then “don’t overreact and find out the whole story” then “apply consequences in accordance to the school behavior codes”
