The second book I chose to read this summer was I Am Legend by Richard Matheson. I Am Legend is a horror and science-fiction mashup which follows the life of Robert Neville as the last man on Earth in a world now entirely populated of vampires due plague that struck in August 1976. Now, for over five months, Robert has carried out his daily routine in the suburbs of Los Angeles of fixing what the human-turned-vampires had broken the night before during their attacks. He collects garlic from the hothouse and hangs it around his home, replaces the broken planks that cover his windows and doors, makes stakes, and even fixes the wiring of the generator every once in a while. Doug meets a few adults such as Mr.Ballard, the owner of The Ballard Paper Mill, and Coach Reed, the gym coach, that offer him kindness and guidance. The adult characters and others evolve him from his character at the start of the book to the end.

The book Eleven Seconds by Travis Roy tells the story of how Travis Roy’s hockey career ended in eleven seconds. Travis broke his neck at a C4 level and became a quadriplegic at the age of 20. Throughout the book you learn about the physical and mental journey he takes as he learns to change his perspective to adjust to the world he now lives in.

Breathless by Lurlene McDaniel is a book where cancer destroys the dreams and future of Travis Morrison. Travis was the best diver in his town, and one of the most popular kids in school. He was sure that he would be a professional diver one day. An injury to his leg brings him to the hospital where he finds out the worst news of his life. Travis has osteosarcoma, bone cancer.

The author of “everything will be okay” is determined, caring, and independent. When she finds the sick kitten in the woods, she is very determined to make him better. She is very caring for the kitten, and is super determined to make it better without putting him down.

Lynn’s favorite word is I'm fine she is depressed and people ask her what's wrong her only reply is I'm fine and you're about to find out why. Here is Lynn’s story.

ood Friday ’15: the day on the Liturgical Calendar, that commemorates the day of Christ’s death on the cross. All Ryanites, regardless of their age, the name or type of their school, the Diocese or Archdiocese that the school in question a part of (if applicable), or other distinguishable characteristics, never attends school on Good Friday, because that day is a very special one for anyone who called himself or herself a Christian. It is also customary for one to either attend school mass during the Holy Week, or have a half day dismissal on the day before it, Holy Thursday. The non-Ryanites may not understand this reasoning on the part of the schools, but the Ryanites could care less about the misunderstandings from the non-Ryanites.

Last year at BookGab M shared a book called Say What You Will by Cammie McGovern. This is the first book M has felt that a main character has represented her. Amy like M is in a wheelchair. Amy like M is a smart, funny, loving teenager with the same feelings, hopes and dreams as any teenager.

Somehow adulthood turned out to be harder than Doug anticipated, a lot harder, as his fears of possibly not reaching his goals within a year's timeframe could ruin his life forever. Furthermore, the thing most that ruined him, was society in general. Surely, at times, Doug didn't like the way society worked in his favor. Therefore, he would carry himself as unique as can be, with how he dressed, spoke, and viewed life.

Greetings, I am Nick Gregoriou and I am here to discuss the economic aspects of the Slaves and Indentured Servants of Colonial Williamsburg. Despite their lack of them, these ordinary people forced into labor possessed a tremendous population which makes their few aspects interesting and interrelated. For example, Slaves and Indentured Servants could not earn money unless they were given money by their owner to buy something for their owner. For example, in the novel, "Give Me Liberty", a book I believe we have all read, Nathaniel Dunn, the protagonist of the novel, is given a coin to publish something at the Virginia Gazette. Additionally, Slaves and Indentured Servants could be given money by someone who didn’t know he or she was a slave.

Tyler – I loved him. He is your typical bad boy: sells weed at parties, drinks and driving around like a hoon. But as the novel goes on we see that his character develop, and he start to try and be a better person.

The entire class is ninety-dollars. There is a book, which is not included in that ninety-dollars, you will need to buy. ‘Honeymoon’ by Patterson and Howard Roughan.

This book completely blew my socks off. Everything, Everything is the story of Madeline who has been diagnosed with SCID and has spent her entire life living in a suffocating bubble. For those of you that don’t know, SCID is basically having a deathly allergy to pretty much everything in the world, which I believe to be part of the reason that the title is Everything, Everything. Because of her disease, Maddy is not allowed to leave the sanctuary her mother has created within their very own home. She isn’t completely closed off, she gets to interact with two people – her tutor and her nurse, but the decontamination process is such a hassle that no one really bothers to come visit her besides the two of them. When the book starts, Maddy seems content with her life of endless books

Joannie recently joined the ministerial staff of her church, and the members are really warming up to her.
