Oma Else was first and foremost my grandmother. That’s all I ever knew of her and, more importantly, that’s all I ever cared to know growing up. At first, she was the grandmother I would always see for Thanksgiving, along with Opa Dave. I’d see her in the summer, too. Then she became the grandmother who’d come for Christmas. She would appear for performances and graduations, too. And then she was gone. Those are the memories I have of her. They are lovely, fond memories, but they do not represent most of my life.

The Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) was created to protect Native artifacts and give proper recognition and ownership to the native tribe or direct descendants of which it is rightfully affiliated with. Cultural items include sacred objects, inherited objects, funerary objects, and human remains. NAGPRA is a federal law passed in 1990 that is used by federal agencies and all museums but is applied to anyone who discovers the listed above artifacts. This Act includes provisions for unclaimed and culturally unidentifiable items on Federal and tribal lands. There are penalties for those who do not comply or who partake in illegal trafficking. NAGPRA authorizes Federal grants to tribes, organizations, and museums to help with the documentation and repatriation of items. There is a Review Committee to monitor the process and facilitate the resolutions for disputes.
“The Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008, also known as MHPAEA is defined as a federal law that prevents group health plans and health insurance issuers that provide mental health or substance use disorder benefits from imposing less favorable benefit limitations on those benefits than on medical or surgical benefits” (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, para 1). Originally, MHPAEA applied only to group health plans and group health insurance coverage, but was “amended by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” to also apply to individual health insurance coverage (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, para 2). “The Mental Health Parity Act of 1996 (MHPA) defined that large group health plans could not impose annual dollar limits on mental health benefits that are less favorable than any limits imposed on medical or surgical benefits” (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, para 6).
In the early part of the 21st century it became clear that the planet Earth could not sustain its growing population much longer. Global warming was causing colder, wetter winter conditions in the north and warmer, drier summer conditions in the south. Hurricanes and Tsunamis were eroding the coast lines all over the planet. Areas that were once ideal for growing food crops were no longer bearing fruit. Draught and famine was becoming more common than ever before. As a way to combat these problems the world leaders got together at a summit and created a terraforming task force. The purpose of this task force was to find uninhabited planets in other solar systems, that could sustain carbon life forms. An international crew was assembled and trained for this very special mission. During the ninth year of their quest the six person crew found PSR-15, in the Epsilon Eridani sector. It was an M-class planet with no signs of intelligent life.

The heads, which are 1.47 to 3.40 metres tall and weight between six to 50 Tons, represent individual Olmec rulers and each has a distinctive headdress . The first head was discovered in the 19th century.
Ona and Jurgis Rudkus, two Lithuanian immigrants who have just come to Chicago, are being married. They have veselija, or wedding, that follows the Lithuanian tradition. This celebration takes place in a hall near the Chicago stockyards, which is an area of the city called Packingtown - because it is in the middle of the meat-packing industry. Food, beer, and music are all part of this wedding. Hungry people standing in the doorway are even invited inside to eat. And, the musicians play badly but no one minds. The best part of the celebration is when the guests form a circle where the bride stands in the middle and each guest takes a turn dancing with her. Helpful: I see a ton of traffic on Ophion, and there's always players with questions. Since I've played for such a long time, I'm well versed on how all the servers work, and I'm usually able to answer any question. I try my best to answer questions as clearly as I can, and I'm always willing to expand on those questions, to help players gain a better understanding of each server.
