One fall day my boyfriend and I were out on a ride on the four wheelers to Lake Linden to visit his family and enjoy the colors as the leaves were beginning to change. I was leading the way and I accidently took the wrong turn and we decided to call my mom to come find us. After an hour of sitting around we decided to get ourselves out of the situation, so we started driving. My boyfriend seen a mud-hole and decided to hit it. He decided to slowly ease into it and then slowly gave it more gas. Next thing we knew we were stuck in a mud-hole that was almost waist deep. Finally my mom found us down one four wheeler, once she found out why we were down a four wheeler she laughed and told us we have to get out of that mess ourselves, and left to
I had talked my mom into getting on the Hades 360 roller coaster, she avoided me of course, but my heart was pounding with adrenaline. My palms sweaty and my heart pounding we stepped up to our seat, we buckled up and before we knew it we were off. Slowly going up the hill my hair blowing in the wind , and of course my mom screaming. We went done the first hill, my stomach dropped because of laughter. The ride was over in a blink of an eye. My mom was laughing by the time it was over, my mom has fun and that was all that mattered to
One day my mom came and found me and my sister and told us we had to go somewhere. We went and found our shoes and started heading out the door. My sister and I started hoping down the front steps just about running into a vehicle parked out front. My mom told me and my sister to get in, both of us were kind of scared but we did it anyways. So me and my sister attempted getting into the big vehicle, well it may not have been that big, but to us it seemed like it was. We drove for what seemed like hours till all of a sudden the car stopped. I opened the door and hoped out onto the cold hard cement. I didn’t know where we were at, I had never seen this place before. The people in the car and my mom told us to go up to the front steps and they will be right behind us. So me and my sister made our way up the steps and to a big front door. We looked and found a doorbell and chose to push it. After just a little while the door opened and this younger couple looked down at us with huge smiles on their faces.
We all have a week or a month, when things are not as expected! Let me go back to one such week in 2017 it was the week that everything that happened was not expected. Before retelling the story, characters have to be introduced. The main characters are Noor, Alya, Abdullah, Aziz and I. They are my siblings. As for the other three, they are my girl cousins their names are Jawahar, Maha and Ghalya. As for the characters that are unnecessary and will only be mentioned once, they are my Aunt’s son and my Uncle’s son. Also, there are Ahmed, my Father, and Fahad my cousin who have both passed away. It was unexpected to have a week of grief.
On a hot summer day when I was around the age of thirteen, my family and I were having a cook out in our back yard. While the food was being grilled my Uncle Scottie volunteered to drive the children on the four-wheeler. This for us children was the most exciting thing ever. Before the four-wheeler left the yard, he checked the gas. We were running low on gas however; there was enough
When my brother and I finished kindergarten, that summer we decided we were going to go to school. During school didn't get to see my step brother Cole much because he lived with his mom in Sheridan. In the summer Cole came to our house a lot, and we built forts in the woods. In the third grade, my dad got into a four wheeler accident and got a hole in his heart. He had one big stroke and two small ones. He got surgery to patch up the hole in his heart. That summer my family went the baseball park to watch my brother Christian play. In the fourth grade, a dog wandered into my yard. My family gave her food and water because it looked like she was not fed. She stayed at our house for a whole week so my parents said we could keep her, we named her Amega. Not long after that, she had puppies so we kept one, and named her
When we got to the lake my dad made me grab the poles and ran to the
One day me and Ashton were dirt biking. I was beating Ashton all day. Ashton got so mad that he clipped my handlebars. I fell face first on the ground hitting my head so hard that I had to go to the clinic. But it was so bad that they thought I broke my neck. At first they were going to send me in an ambulance to Stanford Hospital. But then they thought I had broken my neck so they wanted me to fly in a helicopter all the way to Sanford hospital. But I didn't so my dad just took me home. Well back to the RV. When we came back I was still the best one there besides the adults. Booyah . Ashton got really mad. It was a really fun day after all.
I woke up on a beautiful saturday morning. The sun was flashing through my curtains. All of a sudden my mom burst through my door with a huge smile on her face.
The art piece is a painting made by A.Y Jackson (as signaled by the signature at the bottom), and it shows a cold and snowy Canadian Autumn day. The pictures show a cloudy day in a place which seems cold and isolated. Although the sky is blue and is a presence of sunlight in the scene the sun is hidden behind the quickly, moving by the air clouds, given the impression that that place is getting colder. There’s a lake of crystalline waters which reflects the outside and that it’s starting to freeze by the corners, this lake surrounded at both sides by a large forest of thin trees, most of them of orange or soft brown wood that have already lost their leaves, and others that are in the process of losing their leaves as well. It’s a cold windy
Kenny decided to show up to our house one day on his four-wheeler. He wanted to ride around the ranch with me and my brother. I was watching him drift around on the gravel driveway and I thought, if he can do it, I can do it. I start picking up speed and I start taking the turn a little too fast here I go off the side of this thing, thrown about fifteen feet from the four-wheeler. I lay there thinking about whether or not to get up.
The summer between 7th and 8th grade I woke up to an empty home. I looked everywhere and I couldn't find my mom. I walked into the kitchen and she had left a note. She'd call me as soon as she could and she loved me very much. She called later that day to inform me that she was in the hospital and she was okay but she'd have to stay so I would be home alone that night. As a pre-teen, this was both terrifying and exhilarating. I was home alone! I could do whatever I want and no one could tell me no! I drank milk from the jug and I had ice cream for dinner, I watched a PG-13 movie and
It was the 11th of January and we were going to get a new dog. The road has ice, snow and sleet. I had a headache and I was really tired. It was cold, cloudy, and bright. The ride was like a 4 hour ride because I slept through the whole thing and it was awesome. When I woke it we were still not there. So my mom, brother and I all played car games. When we got there it was loud and it made my head hurt even more than it did before. It was wet and really icy so I had to crawl. My mom asked “What are you doing on the ground.” I said “Crawling so I don’t fall on my butt or my side like I always do. When we went in we saw Peanut. The women said “The reason he has bad back legs is because he was at a puppy mill.” He was funny because he was slipping
As we were coming down the long pier, Dad and I were completely loaded down with fishing gear and a bucket full of fish, I thought to myself,”What is Mom gonna say?” When we got to the parking lot for the car, the car was locked and my mother was gone. Then Dad went into panic mode, started to really go off the deep end thinking what might have happened to her, he checked everywhere and we thought he was going to
was playing fetch with my dog a small black lab who would do anything for a ball. Then one day I finally found a challenge but I was wrong . I went up to my hay mow and with all my power I could muster so I threw the ball to the top of the hay mow. But unexpectedly he climbed all the way up like he was a mountain goat.and found the ball then climbed down just as fast as he went up I almost wish I had a timer . And I just sat there choking on hay chaff looking at him in disbelief the hay mow was almost 80 degree angle all the way up . But after years and years of doing that he got arthritis in his legs and walked like his legs were made of toothpicks And this just shows how much he wanted
All was not right in the city one thing that showed me that is wasn't was on page 11 “catherine Lemaigre was dying , and dying horribly and painfully .” That’s not the only person that was dying , many more were going day by day . On page 17 author Jim Murphy stated “Wednesday twelve more died: thirteen died on thursday .” The increasing number in deaths started to scare the city , and wonder what is really happening .
