Going to college is very important to because it extends my education giving me a better chance of achieving my goal, of getting my computer science degree.Well for the most part I believe that college will open up many doors and provide opportunities that I wouldn't be able to get with a high school education. Lately it has become increasingly hard to obtain a well paid job without a college degree. Why is this? Well employers are more likely to choose a college graduate for the job instead of the high school graduate, because of their more extensive learning experience. More than likely people that don't continue to college end up working in ether in a fast food joint or outside in a back breaking job. Both jobs which I wouldn't like to

College is awesome in many different ways. When you are in college, you have the independence and freedom to do anything that you would like to do. Going to college was always an important aspect to me. Coming from a home where the highest level of education was a GED, making something of myself has been a substantial goal that I’ve always yearned. When I was in the 8th grade, I was determined to become a veterinarian. It’s become somewhat apart of who I am. Going to college means that I’m one step closer to progressing to my goal. My goal to actually make something of myself that no one thought I could legitimately achieve.
Is there too much pressure on teenagers to go to college? we’ve all heard teachers, parents and a lot of other people say when you get out of high school, you should go to college and get a degree, so you can get a good paying job and not have to worry about bills, money and so on. In this essay I will argue that teens and kids are getting too much pressure about going to college. Some people object and say that college is good no matter what kind of job you plan on getting or if you even plan on getting a job, but I will argue that going to college should be more of a chose and not seem to be a have to thing no matter what.
Thinking about going to college? Great! One thing you have to plan is how you are going to afford it. There are many different ways to pay for tuition WITHOUT taking out student loans. Tuition has increased tremendously during the last 20 years. You may be able to receive scholarships or grants, FASFA, and much more! A scholarship is a form of financial aid that does not need to be repaid. You can be awarded scholarships for academic or athletic achievement. Student loans are what you should plan to stay away from. No debt is good. You will graduate college and still be paying for your student loans ten years later. Statistics show that 70% of college students graduate with debt, do not let that be you! Grants are another form of financial
From the start, I knew that going to college was essential. Constantly, my parents would express to me the importance of getting a college education along with asking me what I wanted to do with my future or what it was I wanted to major in. At first, these questions frightened me. I had no idea what type of school or career I wanted to go into. All the different paths they would suggest to me never sparked my interest. All I knew is that I was interested in fashion. I loved the industry and felt like I could use this passion I have in a career. However, I was still unclear about what I could do with this or what type of path I wanted to take. With this confusion, I knew it was important for me to start exploring more about myself.
Failure is not an option. Going to college is the most important thing to me. To not be struggling, on my own, or stressing about how i will be able to afford the bills. I grew up watching my single mom struggle everyday, stressing about how she will be able to provide for her kids. I have seen family members abuse my mother, I have been in bad living conditions, and not have a car or a job; relying upon the goodness of others to let us into their homes. But, no matter what she would always tell me, “I’ll figure it out, I always do.” Now I am a senior in high school and around my freshman year my mom persevered, got a job, a car, and we moved into a duplex. SInce then, I have made the choice that I will not let myself go through this once I
My personal experience becoming an online student was overwhelming at first. I’ll start with a brief background about what lead me to become an online student. I’m married nineteen years, and chose not to have children so, my home life is a simple one. I found my career later in life which required becoming certified to become a manager. After completing the certification courses online, I was required to complete twelve college credits to become eligible to take an exam to become Nationally Certified as a Director of Activities in Long Term care. As I was researching my college options I came across Penn Foster’s Healthcare Management Degree program. Not only did I find the credits I needed, I found a degree that would assist me as I worked toward the promotion to management. Shortly after enrolling in the Penn Foster online degree program, I had gotten the promotion I had been working for. The department I now manage was left a
