They say adoption is "a wonderful thing" but, it's really child abuse Children who are adopted are more likely to have problems such as ADD, ADHD, depression,and separation anxiety Counseling and medication can help these problems or a child will grow out of them Those who don't grow out of these problems could be a huge problem for those around them and them self Adoption is like marriage once you've been married there's no turning back You can get a divorce but, that person will always be in your life. It’s a life long commitment There are two types of adoption. The first is a closed adoption which is when no identifying information is given to each side and no contact is permitted. There are some advantages to this type of adoption. Some birthmothers may feel a sense of closure and can move on with their life, also this is a way that you won't have to explain to others their decision. The befits of an open adoption are being able to be apart of their life without raising the child, not feeling like you've abandoned your child and not grieving as much. For the parents it gives an image of what the child may look like, knowing if the child may have any problems and giving their child a sense of knowing and not having to wonder all the time. The child in an open adoption will have their questions answered of "what will I look like?" "Why aren't you raising me?" and even if he or she will have any health problems. While all these things seem wonderful there is some disadvantages of an open adoption such as disappointment, the child and the parents may have high expectations and might not be met. The birth parents may change their mind and decide they want the child
