Oprah Winfrey was born on January 29, 1954. After she was born her parents, Vernita and Vernon moved away from each other. Oprah was sent to live with her grandmother in Kosciusko, Mississippi with her parents, Vernita and Vernon. When Oprah was 6 years old she moved in with her mother in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. However her mother was just a teenager, when she had her so she went to live with her grandmother.
