ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I would like to express my special thanks of gratitude to my teacher Ms. Geeta Mishra as well as our Head of Faculty who gave me the golden opportunity to do this wonderful project on the topic –“BIOGRAPHY OF MOTHER TERESA”, which also helped me in doing a lot of research because of which I came to know about so many new things for which I am really thankful to them.
REVIEW OF LITERATURE
Melodies and sonnets
Energetic tunes have been composed about the Rani; one of them incorporates these lines (deciphered): "How valiantly like a man battled she,/ The Rani of Jhansi/ On every parapet a firearm she set/ Raining blaze of hellfire,/ How well like a man battled the Rani of Jhansi/ How valiantly and well!" She is an image of lady masculinity as the line says in her admiration "Khoob ladi mardani wo to jhansi wali rani thi" (Bravely and tirelessly she battled like men).
The most well known sythesis of Subhadra Kumari Chauhan is the Hindi sonnet Jhansi ki Rani, a candidly charged depiction of the life of Rani
Rani Lakshmi Bai was popularly known as Jhansi Ki Rani and she is known for her bravery and patriotism. She shook the entire British Raj and played a pivotal role in India’s independence. She used to dress up in a saree, tied the Maharashtrian way and she also wore a turban on her head. She used to carry a shield and a sword, which you can make using cardboard.
Mirabai threw herself into her devotion to Krishna wholeheartedly. Her songs attributed to the deity are filled with feelings love and “tortured longing,” as the saint expresses her need to be united with her one true love, the Lord Krishna (Mirabai 82). The use of
It was September the 10th, 1964 and World war 2 had only just come to a conclusion. Mother Teresa sat on a piping hot train, on a hot summers day in Calcutta. She tried taking up as little space as possible to avoid being crowded which she was to a great extent and deeply swelter. She was on a train from Calcutta to the Himalayan foothills for a retreat. On this train ride Christ spoke to Mother Teresa. She referred to this as 'her second calling' and in her words it was 'a vocation to give up, even at Loreto where I was very happy, to go out into the streets to serve'. "I want Indian Nuns, Missionaries of Charity, who would be my fire of love amongst the poor, the sick, the dying and the little children," she heard Christ say to her on the train in those very words. "You are I know the most incapable person - weak and sinful but just because you are that'- I want to use you for my glory. Wilt thou refuse?". A sensation of happiness rushed through her, even though she had been called weak she was honoured. She was very quick to share her vision with her supporters, friends and members of the Loreto sisters that she worked with. She was questioned about her call, and all the intentions and aims she had for doing it.
Only female ruler of Habsburg dominions and last of the House of Habsburg, born on May 13, 1717 in Vienna, died on November 29, 1780. Her father, Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI was the last male member of the Habsburg Maria Theresa is significant because of her role as the first woman ruler of the Habsburg dominions, her fights with Prussia, and the financial and educational reforms that greatly impacted Austria.
A true hero can be a person of any age or gender. A hero can be famous or could be
Then, Mother Teresa quit her job as a teacher, she went to Calcutta because she wanted to help the people there. She gave up her traditional Loreto habit for a simpler one, a white sari with a blue outline. Mother Teresa then went out to the people who were in the lowest caste, or class, of the Indian society, the untouchables. To start to help the Indians she off begging for food and health care assistance was slow and difficult work, but nevertheless she stuck to it. Then her works grew to much larger
Maria Theresa was born in Vienna, Austria at the Hofburg Palace on May 13, 1717 and was the second child and eldest daughter of Charles VI, who was the Holy Roman Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and his wife, Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. Since Charles VI was the last remaining male heir to the Habsburg throne as his only son and sole male heir and Maria Theresa eldest brother died shortly before Maria was born. So Charles VI reformed the Salic Law, which prevented any heir who were female to succeed her father as Charles VI feared that he might not produce a son. In 1713 Charles VI issued the Pragmatic Sanction, which ensure his eldest daughter the right to take over and succeed the throne and inherit his united lands when he died. During 1720 Charles VI worked endlessly to earn supports for the Pragmatic sanction from his crown lands and over time they reluctantly agreed to honor and uphold the sanction.
Religion can impact a person's life through the teachings, and the values and attitudes presented. The effect which religion can give can either be positive or negative. The effect of the Catholic religion on mother Teresa was a positive influence, an influence whichever inspired others to follow her. Agnes Gonxha, or ‘flower bud’, the translation of Gonxha, was the birth name which Mother Teresa was given by her parents. Her family took religion quite seriously, and which in turn lead Agnes to be a religious person known by many. Though Mother Teresa sparked the world with her attitude of helping others and showing the example of God’s love, she never claimed to be anyone special, just another being following in Jesus’s words. Within her
Mother Teresa of Calcutta also known as Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, has done many things her life but many might not knoweverything such as recieving numerous awards, who helped support her dedication to the poor and wher it expanded to, and last founder of Missionaries of Charity.
The Saint that I chose is Saint Mother Teresa de Calcutta. She was born August 26, 1910 in Skopje, Macedonia. My saint left home at the age of eight-teen to join the convent in Ireland then moved to India. She taught geography and history to the daughters of wealthy families. Saint Teresa de Calcutta could not ignore the reality of how people were extremely poor and suffering, she believed it her was her duty to help the poor and suffering. Saint Teresa de Calcutta then decided to leave Ireland to help the poor while living among them in India. My saint is very special because she spent almost her entire life to serve the poor and help them all over the world. She made houses to help them, one of the houses was in New York
I’ve always felt it was my obligation to try and help others. For this reason, if I could be any superhero, I’d be Professor Xavier from the X-men of the Marvel universe. I would like to be as intelligent as him and try to help others by telepathy and what they really feel. I would do this to get an understanding of what people really mean when they say something is bothering them. I would help them to feel better about themselves and be a counselor and guide them to succeed.
The first reason is because Teresa’s mother had taken sertraline for several years for depression. As discussed in class a patient is likely to respond to the same antidepressant that a primary first-degree relative has taken.
The articles “Voicing the Feminine Within: A Journey through the Life Narrative of A. In doing this she gave love and respect to the poor individuals who needed it. Mother Teresa slowly expanded the educational work throughout the world, at one point running nine elementary schools in Calcutta. They also opened a home for orphans and abandoned children in India. Mother Teresa is, therefore, a wonderful example of a person giving respect and she is also a person this entire community can admire, as she truly did live a life that respected and honoured Christ. Like Christ, she showed respect for all people, no matter what their story was, and always maintained their dignity and gave them respect. Conservatives within the Catholic Church use Mother Teresa as a symbol of traditional religious values that they felt lacking in their churches. Mother Teresa is an amazing inspiration and universally respected to people all over the world, even after her death, her legacy still carries on to this day. Orphanages, schools, and shelters have been placed in honour of her selfless acts. Mother Teresa witnessed her nuns ministering to Jesus and realised the difference that she had made among others. People everywhere, regardless of race, gender, and age can be a part of something special just as Mother Teresa was. Whether it is something small such as donating clothes, or volunteering at a soup kitchen, or something big such as traveling to a third world country to do
There are many people in this world that we consider great humanitarians. Mother Teresa was a unique individual that stood out of the crowd because of her involvement in helping the sick, poor and dying. She spent everyday of her adulthood caring for people that were in need by setting up the Missionary of Charity along with many homes for the people she cared for. Mother Teresa won many awards throughout her lifetime for her dedication to care for people in need. It is no wonder that Mother Teresa won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and is considered a saint.
